This was the second of the three boat noodles restaurants I tried in Bangkok. Reluctant to give Pa Yak 4/5 stars, but the last one (Toy Kuay Teow Ruea) really blew me away.

There was no queue! But please don’t think Pa Yak isn’t good just because there isn’t a queue!

We ordered the small bowls so that we could have a taste of all of the different flavors. The Yentofu boat noodles (the one with the pink soup) was the highlight for me. I liked the sweetness the soup had and the pork’s taste. Also worth mentioning is the egg noodles. They were chewy, and somehow tasted very different to the Chinese egg noodles I have had. The food Pa Yak served me was very different to what I expected - and needless to say, it was a very pleasant surprise! Words fail me in describing what the differences are, so I urge you to come and try yourself!

The restaurant sells Thai noodles with many noodle dishes in small bowls. There are noodle dishes with pork, beef, shrimp, squid, fish balls, and frogs. There are both mixed noodles and liquid noodles. The shop has many different types of noodles. Small bowls of noodles sell at the same price of 18 Bath (0.5 USD). The noodle dishes are delicious but very spicy. You should order additional drinks such as large bottle of coke for 30 baht (0.8usd).
