This cafe is located very near BTS Ratchathewi station. I forgot the exact exit but it's on the right side if you're going to Mo Chit and on the left side if you're heading to Siam.
Unexpectedly, it looks like a place in 'fantasy stories'. Imagine a setting in bedtime story book that was read to you when you're young (if you had that experience, if you didn't have, just use your imagination 😅). Anyway, the interior somewhat reminds me of that. It's near halloween and they decorated the exterior with 'halloween themed' decors.. inside, the staffs also had their make-up done like those from hunted houses or perhaps zombies which added to the charm of the place.
The food is okay and there are options for sharing or individual serving. We ordered pineapple fried rice and some chicken stir fry dish (I forgot the exact name of the dish, sorry). For drinks, I am always on a hunt for best Thai tea so I did not miss their Thai tea - my verdict.. normal, I might try another drink when I visit next time. They also have a lot of choices for desserts and it took us quite sometime to decide because everything looks delish... but we only have one stomach and a bit of space so we opted for their 'fancy' brownies and 'fancy' banana cake.
What impressed me was the very fancy tableware. True to their 'fantasy story theme', their plates are also aligned with it. It would have been best if their glasses are also 'fancy'.
In general, this cafe offers not only baked goods and pastries as well as meal menus. I found out that they have other branches in other areas too.
All in all, if you love to take photos for your social media account, this place is perfect for you since there's a lot of wonderful and flowery...
Read moreSuper terrible service. 👎👎👎 Worst experience in Bangkok.
When I came into this cutie shop for photos. The staffs just hurry me to place an order. I explained that I just want a break and will place an order after the photos. But the staffs look very dissatisfied and continue giving me dirty look.
Suddenly a manager came from downstairs angrily to stop me and told me that I was complained by another lady customer who sat very far, so I need to stop unless finished placing the order. 😂😂😂
I don’t know the difference between “order before photos “and “order after photos”? I don’t know how I affected that “ Far Complained Lady” by taking selfie in front of a wall?
I was confused about the whole process and the people I met here. Anyway, I decided to leave because we were uncomfortable with each other. However, when I turned away, I saw that a few staffs were standing beside the “ Far Complained Lady” and keep talking + laughing. I wonder if they know each other and group together for bullying because I am a foreigner who visited alone.
Actually, I don’t mind taking photos after placing the order if the staffs explained me politely, but their attitude was really not friendly.
I feel so disappointed because I took over 1.5 hours to come with walking + bus + mrt + bts and 4 times transport interchange under super hot weather with such this stressful feeling .🥲
I went to a lot of beautiful cafes in this trip and took many photos with good food, good staffs, good environment and good customers, but this cafe was my worst experience in Bangkok. Highly don’t...
Read moreHere's the thing. There's that whole aesthetic component and that's what you're paying for - that's the reason you're here, no?
I presume you didn't come for the food or even consider whether the service is going to be good or not. That's how it was for me.
The fact is that the food was poor. There was only one dish that was good, the others were satisfactory to very poor. Service was quite poor, from the point of making a phone call onwards. It seemed like the hostess was less interested in listening to the question and more interested in repeating a point she was used to making, because she thought I was asking a - shall we say - Frequently Asked Question.
Once we met the hostess (and I'm quite certain it was the same person) the expectations were further lowered. It seemed like she was efficient and good at organising but not in a service role. Other servers too did not seem particularly great at what they were doing.
All things considered, I think the expectations for the food were not high to begin with. We expected better once seeing the menu though. To address this, I would limit the number of items on the menu to a dozen that can be made well, and lower the prices to reflect the quality (plus add a little more since they need to charge you for the aesthetic).
All in all, I would say it would be easy to look past the poor food if the price reflected the quality, and if the service was a...
