During New Year of 2020 my sister and I decided to celebrate in Bangkok with our house keeper. There are many choices of hotels around Bangkok but not all are beside BTS Stations. Luckily I found for them the perfect hotel - Siam Sawana Hotel just 5 mins walk and you're in Ratchathewi station just one stop from Siam station. The hotel is very visible from the BTS station as you exit from the east. The big Asia Hotel is just right at the corner as you head towards Siam Sawana. Opposite road there are plenty of bars, unique colorful cafes and restaurant. Even around th e hotel there are plenty of good foods, cafes, massage parlors and convenient stores like 7 eleven. Tuk tuk is also around the area if you wanna try one of the must do in Bangkok. The hotel parking is spacious for your car or taxi to pick up and drop off. The hotel is unique since its small yet unique pool is in front of the main lobby and there is a pool bar beside it. The lobby is very unique and I shall say interesting - the interior decor is a combination of Thai, Chinese and Cartoon designs. You would see Doraemon, Nutcracker guards standing beside Thai and Chinese paintings and vases. Check-in is fast and comfortable. Staff speaks Good English. As mentioned there is no lift in this hotel and luckily we are just in the 2F. Even though, there is a hotel staff to carry your luggages on the stairs. The hallway in the rooms are huge, quiet, modern and spacious. Our room is standard twin and about medium sized room. A bit small but there is still enough room to move and walk around. The twin beds are comfortable and not too small. The aircon is a bit old though and not too cold. The sink is separate from the toilet and shower just right in front of the door and beside the clothing cabinet, which is a bit odd but part of this hotel's interior design. The TV is huge with cable and local channels. Wifi is fast in the hotel. Water, Toiletries are complimentary provided daily. Breakfast has 2 options - Asian and Western and part of our package. They offer tour packages if you would like to have tours in and out of Bangkok. The only thing is that the room has no window so even though the room is not small it feels enclosed. Despite this limitation, we still loved and enjoyed our stay at this cute boutique hotel right at the...
Read moreGreat location, great neighborhood, great staff but limited lighting and no elevator. May book again because of the surrounding food stalls and the comfy bed.
⬆️ Great location and good neighborhood: Within walking distance to Ratchathewi BTS Station and the streets are troller-friendly. Many appealing local food stalls nearby with affordable prices (probably cash only). In front of the entrance gate there is a street cart where they make delicious milk tea and lime tea at 30 Baht/pax.
⬆️ Great staff: The staff members were very friendly and accommodating. The male staffers will help you in carrying the luggages to higher floors as there is no elevator. The hotel seems to have a total of 3 floors so that may not be a big burden.
⬆️ No deposit required: This hotel did not ask for any cash deposit upon check-in. They also did not need my online booking confirmation; the physical passport was sufficient.
⬇️ Comfy but not really: The room had rather good interior design to distract you from the lack of window and natural lighting. Soft lighting, smart interior placement and comfy queen size bed! Plus, a tray of ice inside the mini fridge. However, the bathroom did not have handheld shower head and did not offer comb, toothbrush, toothpaste (seemed to be a norm for Krung Thep hotels). The wifi was rather difficult to connect and the lighting may not be good for...
Read moreThe service provided by the staff was friendly and pleasant, and overall, we had no major issues with them. However, the swimming pool was quite small, and there was no lift available, making it inconvenient to access the higher floors. Additionally, from the second flight of stairs onwards, the area felt uncomfortably warm as it was not air-conditioned.Despite the place being generally nice, we experienced some unsettling events during our stay from 12th to 15th April 2025. Throughout our visit, we frequently heard noises such as doors opening and closing, people walking around, and conversations from outside, indicating that the rooms were not effectively soundproofed. On the third night, around 2:00 AM, we were awakened by loud sounds of a couple arguing intensely. This quarrel lasted about 45 minutes. Concerned, my friend checked outside our room but saw no one, and the noises immediately stopped. Shortly after closing our door, the noises resumed, this time accompanied by sounds of objects being thrown or moved around. These disturbances were extremely loud, aggressive, and sporadic. Strangely, our room lights flickered each time the furniture or doors outside appeared to move.We found this experience particularly disturbing and unusual. We chose not to inform the reception because the quarrel suddenly ended, leaving us unsure about the...
