Chilling House Café — Restaurant in Thanon Phetchaburi Subdistrict

This was our first time visiting this area for a reunion with friends. I did some research and came across this restaurant, which is part of a plaza that features three different styles of Chiling House Cafe. The night we visited, it was raining, so the area seemed a bit quieter than usual. We decided to give it a try and ordered a mix of Thai, Japanese and Korean dishes such as Tom Yum Koong, Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings, Wasabi Grilled Pork, and more.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, constantly refilling our drinks and checking in on us, which we really appreciated.

However, when the food arrived, the flavors were unfortunately underwhelming. The Tom Yum was just warm and quite bland, and the hot wings lacked depth as well. It felt like both dishes might have been pre-cooked and simply reheated upon order.

Please don’t get me wrong! We have no prior negative experiences with this restaurant. I’m just sharing our honest feedback in hopes that it might be helpful for the owner to consider. I understand that every restaurant has its regulars who love the food, and that’s wonderful! As a restaurant owner myself, I know how valuable constructive feedback can be.

On a positive note, the live musician was fantastic. Very engaging with the crowd and truly entertaining. I’m happy to give five stars for that part of the experience.

So, I chose the Chilling House at Co-Co Walk, Ratchathewi. It's been more than 5 years since I last visited this place, yet it still retains that familiar atmosphere.

However, there have been some developments; the area surrounding Chilling House seems to have evolved into a bustling hub. Ah, the food here is still as delicious as ever, although the prices have soared, especially when ordering multiple dishes. The Hoegaarden Rosée beer is delightful, but the music is a tad too loud, prompting my Apple Watch to caution me about the excessive noise.
