Tourist trap restaurant, not one single thai eating there. No prices are indicated on the menu, it's very weird. The waitress, who does not speak a single word english, does not know the prices and must ask the cook for every single item. I eventually clarified that all dishes are at 100 Bahts and drinks at 80 Baths.
It was a 4* star rating that went to 3* when our order was cancelled/forgotten because some pork sticks we asked later were sold out and they decided to cancel our main dishes without informing us. After 25 minutes of waiting, we clarified the issue and our meals got prepared. Still surprised that they were not intrigued by the fact 2 guests wait at their restaurant table with nothing in front of them and no order on-going...
But the cherry on top was the bill for 2 dishes, amouting 250 instead of 200 as clarified at the beginning. We said no, it must be 200, and the cook answered that 200 are fine, no problem.
Okay... so the price depends on the guest, right? I suggested to put the prices on the menu but the cook simply answered that 200 are fine.

Read moreFound this place as it’s near where I’m based in Bangkok. Long and short is I come here for breakfast and very often stay for lunch. The food is fresh and tasty. The food is traditional but you can ask for less spicy no problem. It’s clean here, and you have the added attraction of watching the boats go by and daily life for local Thai people too. The staff make the place, everyone is super friendly and they go out their way to make your stay special. Stay away from all the tourist places to eat, get immersed in real Thai life and eat here you will come back again and again. Love this place, I eat here every day and I’m here a month at a time. Thank you Mohammed, Hannah, Mae, Apple, Minny and everyone else that makes this place...
Read moreWe stopped by Karemeen & Sobereen for lunch before visiting the Jim Thompson Museum, and it was a great find! This small, humble restaurant by the riverside serves authentic Thai food full of flavor. We had fried rice, rice with seafood and basil, stir-fried vegetables, and finished off with mango sticky rice for dessert—everything was delicious! The total bill came to just 480 baht, which is great value.
The place isn’t air-conditioned, but they have fans. It can get a bit warm around noon, but the tasty food and cozy riverside vibe make it worth it. Highly recommend for a local...
