Amazing shabu shabu (hot pot) in Bangkok. Very much a deal for a buffet at 299 Baht, where at many other places 299 Baht pays for just one round of hot pot.

Even better, the 299 Baht pays for all you can eat ice cream / gelato (including lychee gelato, matcha ice cream, chocolate ice cream - the matcha ice cream is the best), sushi, and drinks. And the sushi here is very good, from California rolls to shrimp tempura rolls to pretty much anything else you would want.

The drink selection is pretty wide, too, and the unlimited free refills are great. With the hot pot, get the black soup for at least one of the two sides of the hot pot bowl at your table, as it's the best soup they offer.

At your table you fill out a paper for the table with the quantity (0-3) of servings of each item they offer, and they quickly bring it out to you to cook in the soup on your electric burner. All meats we had were high quality, so you can't go wrong. Just pick what you'd like to try!

Finally, the service was excellent and fast, and we got here at 6, which was a good time, as shortly after we got seated a line queued up and remained in place for the next 2 hours. And speaking of 2 hrs, make sure to finish your dinner before two hours are up, or you pay for...

It's tucked away in an alley with a bunch of other restaurants, cafes and bars. They currently have a lunch special (11am - 4pm) for 199++ Baht. It does not include beef, shrimp, cheese or drinks. The regular menu is 289++ and definitely worth it. There is a choice of 4 broths. I had the tomyum and spicy half/half. Both are good. There are 3 dipping sauces. There is a small buffet with some fried items, fruit, ice-cream, beef vegetable curry and drinks. Ordering is easy via paper slips. Service was excellent and prompt. Fast to clean your spent dishes and bring requested items. Meat is cut very thin and cooks nicely and quickly. Vegetables are cut to fit well in the pot. Located in the middle of Bangkok and quite close to BTS Ratchathewi Station, which provides access to numerous neighboring attractions, including a very nice Japanese-styled Shabu restaurant for lunch or supper with friends. Shuba Shabu's dipping sauces provide a wonderful hot and spicy flavor that rivals those of other restaurants serving Shabu buffet at greater pricing. Raw meat, fish, and vegetables are of excellent quality, and you may place as many orders as you want in a buffet manner.
