Junker and Bar is the kind of place where the size inversely correlates with the charm – small and cozy indeed. The ambiance is a blend of intimacy and warmth, making you feel like you're at a friend's house party, if your friend had an exceptional taste in live music.
Speaking of tunes, the live music is the soul of Junker and Bar. With a lineup that seamlessly swings between English and Thai hits, it's a bilingual bonanza that caters to all. Whether you're there to reminisce with the classics or sway to local favorites, the performers hit the right notes every time.
Now, let's talk logistics – specifically, the stairway to the little astronaut's room. A word to the wise: the stairs leading to the toilet are not for the faint of heart, nor for the overly spirited drinker. They're steep, they're narrow, and they're a test of sobriety you didn't know you needed. So, maybe stick to the mocktails if you're planning multiple trips upstairs. Just a friendly suggestion! 😉
In conclusion, Junker and Bar is a gem that promises a night of relaxed vibes, delightful music, and a stair-climbing challenge that could rival any fitness app. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind and maybe, just maybe, practice their...
Read more80 minutes after an order, on what seemed to be a routine Thursday, I asked (in Thai, via my friend) where my burger was. The staff's emotionless response was whether I wanted to cancel the order. No service recovery, no apology of any kind, no customer service of any kind. Was my burger at least on the grill 80 minutes after ordering? Absolutely ridiculous. I don't care how good the food is (my friend's carbonara, which came out after 70 minutes, was decent), waiting 80 minutes for a burger and then having staff communicate as if they quite literally could not care less, well... that's not even bad food, that's just bad business.
I'll never come back and actively encourage people to neither waste their time nor subject themselves to disinterested staff not interested or trained enough by an owner or management to show empathy to their customers.
FWIW, this was the second time I asked where my food was - the first was 40 minutes after the overall order and my salad was still not out. That salad, tasty enough after 45 minutes of starving, did not appear to take longer than 30 seconds to...
Read moreThe cocktails are really the highlight I suggest going in happy hour as they are just over 100 baht a drink. Very well done. The atmosphere is very casual my issue is I felt the overall price especially outside of happy hour has gone up a lot since my last visit and it's now more priced like a proper upper end restaurant. Spending 1800 for one pasta one appetizer and one quesadilla with happy hour drinks 4 cocktails was a surprise for me. They also have implemented a 7% vat when before everything was net. Also more than half the things I ordered where out on a Saturday night like no whiskey on a whiskey night.signature buffalo wings out since no sauce their mac cheese happy hour stopped long ago they said but had a flyer in the menu. The service was very friendly but the laid back attitude to their own menu with such prices don't match so might be my last visit unless I go Sunday for all day happy hour cocktail but with 5 or 6 drinks on the happy hour it...
