Saw their menu online recently and the their menu looks while not overly pricey (meal cost around 200-300 THB, dessert around 100-150 THB, coffee around a hundred), so, I decided to give them a try. Ordered the basic Jambon-burre and a coffee (because, well, if they messed up the basic then no point in trying anything further), it came a little smaller than I would have hoped but turned out really good! Love the sweeten pickles which add a nice touch to the overall 'ham and butter', the baguette wasn't at all socky despite the hams are pretty much soaked in butter and pickle liquid. Big fan, impressively made and well worth the price (180 THB) Since I the lunch gave a pretty good impression, I've decided to try out some dessert as well. Ordered a walnut pie which doesn't seem to be in a menu and a bit more expensive than the rest (160 THB.) It was pretty big for a snack and well seasoned (that little bit of salt was a nice touch), however the walnut itself doesn't taste very fresh. Walnut can go rancid very quickly so that's understandable (and this isn't rancid by any mean.. ..just not very fresh either), still, that turn out a little disappointed (which make them just a shine less than 5 stars in my book) The coffee is.. well, it's a coffee. There's not much you can do with an iced latte. A little expensive for my liking (95 THB) but I like the fact that drinks are completely optional (they gave you still water for free, which is awesome) The space is a little tight (I sit at the front though, heard that they have some better rooms upstairs), but the service is exceptional. They made me warmly welcome and even bring the free water to the table without me asking. Arguably better than most restaurants that charge you for service. All in all, I can highly recommend this place. Especially if you are in the area. Be warned though that they are a bit far, if you go by foots from the nearest MRT and BTS station.

More reviews of the Suan Phlu area from me. I’m staying in the area, and for breakfasts and maybe dinners, I really don’t feel like venturing to the malls and jostle. And with the current heat wave, being indoors is great. Google Map is wonderful thing and I’ve been able to locate lots of wonderful cafes and restaurants, both hits and misses. Walked in for breakfast and immediately loved the decor. Loved the floor tiles and even had iron wrought outdoor furniture like in France. The kitchen is located upstairs. Gotta try a croissant, so I had the breakfast croissant and a flat white. I don’t like croissant with an overpowering taste and smell of butter, but this one was perfect, allowing the flavours of the ham and egg to come through. The coffee was beautifully balanced for me: light acidity, right amount of roast without the crazy milkiness in commercial coffee joints. According to the owner, the croissant is procured from a French bakery, Amantee The Bakery (which apparently imports flour and butter from France), from Chan Road. I was so looking forward to the lemon meringue tart but it would be available only from next month. The quiches looked great, but I opted for the Tartin. The first bite, there was the tartness before the sweetness kicked in. Perfect with the coffee. Had a short conversation with Guillaume, the owner, whose wife and in-law has geographical connections with me, and his favourite Singapore/Malaysian breakfast is kaya toast, with half boiled eggs and local coffee. A man of international flavour indeed! Will definitely be back when I’m in Bangkok next

A french cafe located in Sathorn and a 5 minute walk from my hotel. Turned out to be a good choice for a quick breakfast. The menu is concise but offers a good variety of breakfasts and sandwiches. I ordered the greek yoghurt to begin, which was served with thick creamy yoghurt and fresh fruits like mangoes, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. Tasted great and kept me hungry for more. Round 2 was a slice of the spinach quiche, which also tasted fresh and tasty. Servers speak good English and are polite and warm. Cost me 420 THB including a service charge. Well worth the money. Tres bien!
