Sathorn Vista, Bangkok - Marriott Executive Apartments — Hotel in Thung Maha Mek Subdistrict

So the only good thing about this hotel is location and staff

It's 30 years old and it shows. The rooms reek of mildew and mold they stink it doesn’t matter they’re large huge rooms and I got a huge nice upgrade for being a platinum elite member so I got a two bedroom suite. I really didn’t need an extra bedroom, but it was still nice at the space but this place needs to be renovated like yesterday

even though the location is really good, I would never stay here again for the same amount of money. You can get much much nicer accommodations that other Marriott executive apartments in Bangkok.

honestly, I feel ripped off and almost when I asked for a refund for spending this much money on such an old outdated hotel with beds that are hard as a rock

I was also really pissed to be the only car in the entryway, but I got two phone calls to come move my car right after I got in my room after waiting almost an hour to get my room it’s really bad customer service in that regard but everyone else was super nice and super friendly and super helpful

as a platinum elite member, I usually favor Marriott or Hilton and I stay in hotels all over the world and this is really disappointing

let’s talk about the pool why the heck is the pool green and it’s almost like by Design who wants to swim in a green pool 🤮🤮

The good points is the fridge worked really well. It was easy to hook my fire TV stick up to the TVs no issues there and stream on my shows at night. The Internet was OK. Nothing crazy but not bad either I clocked in about 22 MB per second which 2025 is just the crying shame but pretty terrible for hotels.

The couch even though it’s outdated was pretty comfortable no no issues with it

parking is free and was pretty easy to use which I really liked and they also offer EV options although you do have to pay the charge your car and it is available which is nice

The refrigerator and microwave all worked well, but there was no soap in the kitchen so we had to use the soap from the bathroom, which I didn’t care for

we did not try the breakfast as I’m just not a big get up early kinda go to breakfast person I work a lot so I can’t speak to it, but it looked really nice. It looked good.

The lobby is beautiful, but again just reeks of old smell old mildew mold, smell everywhere you go and the elevators are super slow

so I’m gonna give it three stars for these reasons I should give it one but because the staff is so nice in the location is good. I think it’s worth taking a look at if you need to get your work really quick or somewhere quick close by.

I hope this helps you as you search for a hotel in Bangkok I would look at other hotels for the same price point. You’ll get a lot nicer accommodations, newer accommodations or modern...

This review is based on our 2nd stay (15-17 April 2022) at this fantastic hotel. Now, this new experience was different for us because my wife was bound to a wheelchair. Therefore, we looked at the facility and services in a different way. In addition we spent more time in the hotel having a chance to use more it's amenities and taste more it's food.

I will begin by admitting that I failed to inform the hotel in advance of my wife's wheelchair-bound status as it affects accommodations requirements. Upon check-in we where greeted with the same courtesy as usual.  They provided a hotel-owned wheelchair in support of my wife. When we arrived to the room, it was small and with the furniture made it impossible to maneuver the wheelchair and the four suitcases.

I called the reception to inform them of the situation and Khun Moji - strikes again! She immediately went to work. A few minutes later I received a called from Khun Praew offering to view another room they have found. Khun Moji showed me the new room and most definitely had more space to maneuver with the wheelchair and suitcases. I want to thank khun Moji and khun Praew not only for providing outstanding customer care, but for helping us having a pleasant stayed.

I would like to highlight the concierge outstanding support of khun AE, Khun Bank, Khun Coco. We could not have made it so easy without their assistance and support.  Their care/assistance for my wife was extraordinary - helping her getting on/off taxis with the wheelchair chair and crushes; pushing the wheelchair around the hotel; helping us with the luggage and carry-on; with my wife's shopping delivery to the hotel; with trying to help us find a bag; and the list goes on.

Having to spend more time in the hotel, we had the chance to eat more from MoMo Cafe and the pool bar. At the pool bar Khun Ged and Khun Golf were extremely good and helpful supporting my wife in the pool area. Fantastic service! At the MoMo Cafe the staff was excellent as well. Good food in both places. We really like their daily menu from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. They also have excellent pizzas.

In short,  it was another wonderful experience with a different outlook as my wife was bound to a wheelchair - something that really showed the staff's true customer care. The staff definitely made it more pleasant for us considering my wife's limitations.

Although the hotel doesn't see structured to support wheelchair-bound guests,  the hotel will accommodate hence my wife was able to access all the areas needed except the ladies toilets located in the lobby and in the pool area. The entrance design makes it very difficult for a wheelchair-bound guests to enter.

We have made the Sathorn Marriott Executive Apartments our home in Bangkok.  We'll see you again likely in December...

Executive Apartments perfect for Extended Stays

Considering you are in a City that is loaded with fine luxury hotels offered at cheap prices, an executive apartment kind of accommodation catering to long stay residents would be the last choice on your list. However if you are ready to get past the look and feel of the place, this is a great accommodation located at a good neighborhood with easy access to most points of interest. But be prepared to spend a lot of time at the Elevator area as you will be waiting for a long time for the worst elevators ever!

LOCATION: Located in the heart of SATHORN neighborhood.

DINE + DRINK: Decent Lobby level restaurant that is more suitable for long term stay guests and not fancy enough or tempting enough to wake up for, especially when you are a stone’s throw away from dozens of local establishments dishing out delicious local food at cheap prices!

ROOM: We stayed in 2607, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of SATHORN road and partial view of the Mahanakhon tower! ; SIZE: Very spacious Suite with a Living room and Bed room and also fitted with Oven, Fridge, microwave etc.; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: wonderful THANN Spa cosmetics!

FACILITIES: Very good Gym with a Full range of weights and Cardio machines and a big enough outdoor swimming pool

SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to all the staff at the front desk and Bellhops
