If you're searching for a culinary haven that transports you to the sun-soaked shores of the Mediterranean, look no further than the recently opened restaurant Mimosa. As a passionate food enthusiast, I had the pleasure of dining there, and I can confidently say that it left an indelible mark on my taste buds and heart.
One dish that deserves special praise is the Linguine alle Vongole. Bursting with flavors, the perfectly cooked pasta mingled harmoniously with the clams, creating a tantalizing medley of tastes that truly captured the essence of the sea. Each bite transported me to the coastline of Italy, and I found myself savoring every forkful until the very last slurp.
But the delights did not end there. The dessert menu was a true celebration of sweet indulgence. From velvety tiramisu to homemade ice cream or panna cotta, each dessert was crafted with finesse and artistry. The restaurant's commitment to providing a truly authentic Mediterranean experience shone through, and I couldn't help but applaud their dedication to culinary excellence.
One aspect that truly sets Mimosa apart is its remarkable staff. From the moment I stepped foot in the restaurant, their warm and attentive service made me feel like a cherished guest. The servers were knowledgeable, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Their passion for the cuisine they served was evident, making the entire experience all the more delightful.
Pizza lovers will not be disappointed either. The menu boasts a variety of thin-crust pizzas that capture the essence of Mediterranean flavors. From classic Margherita to adventurous combinations, each pizza was a delicious masterpiece. The expertly baked crust, smothered with vibrant toppings, left me craving for more with every bite.
Now, let's talk about the pièce de résistance: the best Mimosa cocktail in town. They know how to mix up a tantalizing cocktail, and their Mimosa is no exception. Served with just the right balance of fresh orange juice and sparkling bubbles, it was the perfect companion to our meal. The drink exuded a sunny, effervescent charm that brought a smile to my face with every sip.
In summary, Mimosa is a Mediterranean culinary gem that deserves high praise. With their outstanding Linguine alle Vongole, delectable desserts, attentive staff, delectable pizzas, and the best Mimosa cocktail in town, they have succeeded in creating a dining experience that is truly second to none. Whether you're seeking a romantic dinner or a lively gathering with friends, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Prepare to be whisked away on a culinary journey that will leave you longing to return time and time...
Read moreA much-needed comeback — and a restaurant now worth watching.
I visited this place about a year ago and left with a lukewarm impression. The food leaned toward the vague “Mediterranean” label — a term often used when a cuisine lacks identity or commitment. It wasn’t bad, just forgettable.
But something’s clearly changed.
I returned last week and was genuinely impressed. The kitchen has stepped up — notably the carbonara, which (surprisingly and sadly) outperforms many so-called Italian restaurants in Bangkok, even those led by Italian chefs. A wake-up call for my fellow Italians. And i understood the Mimosa chef isn’t Italian, so +10 points for cook good Italian food.
Service was attentive despite a busy room. I chuckled when asked how we wanted the pork chop cooked — for a second I thought it might be Spanish pork — but no, just a small detail. Still, it shows a willingness to engage, which matters.
I read in the menu a signature dish, raviolo cacio e pepe on top beef tenderloin… this is against my religion drastically… but if sell, good for the restaurant…
The tiramisu? Solid. Better than what most “authentic” Italian places in town are serving. That alone deserves applause.
One area that could improve is the cold cuts and cheese board. Please upgrade the selection. Don’t hesitate to charge more for true artisanal quality — people will pay for excellence. Skip the mortadella and generic Parmigiano. Go for unique, imported, small-batch products that reflect Italy’s real food heritage.
The addition of a new foreign restaurant manager is a smart move — he comes across as polished and on top of things.
Wine list could use a boost too — wider selection, better Italian labels. Just my opinion, but it would complement the progress you’re clearly making.
Atmosphere gets a 3 from me, though — not because of the overall vibe, but because I was seated in the back corner next to the restroom. Nobody enjoys dining next to a constant stream of people in and out. At the very least, a partition or panel would make that space feel more intentional and private.
All in all, great job. You’ve earned a spot on my return list — and that’s not something I say often in Bangkok’s...
Read moreSo it was a night of unexpected conversation and it was really nice place I enjoyed the ambience and the service was actually really nice as well the girls were super super sweet!!
As soon as I got there the gentleman that was meeting there for the meeting was rushed he got there before I didn’t placed his order before I even got there so that was a little bit haphazard!! Haha 🤣 manner people!!
I ordered the tropical crab salad and then I had the spicy pizza with the jalapeños added it was not spicy at all but I mean it was really good pizza but for spice wise I think I take a little bit of an extra kick on everything I eat so it’s not their fault so I asked him for chili 🌶️ flakes!!
My friend ordered the truffle my pizza or something like that with zero spices because that’s how he liked it and we proceeded with our conversation and he had a strawberry soda and I had the buy one get one for happy hour which is a really nice treat for aperol spritz and I must say there was no alcohol in this spritz for happy hour so it’s kind of disappointing but anyway! I think they need to find a bartender that knows how to make April spritz!!
And then he ordered the tiramisu the classic and I ordered the I don’t even know why I was so full and I couldn’t even eat the pizza but I ordered the apple and raspberry crumble with vanilla ice cream and that was really quite good with an Americano on the side!
Good menu very nice selection of food however I found the place to be a bit pricey quite pricey actually!
However I would highly recommend coming here for dinner or even lunch or whatever they have to offer because it is good food!
