I think this is one of the worst hotels I've ever been to (when you consider the price).

Wifi is abysmal, between 1 and 3mb on a good day. Rooms and public spaces are quite dirty. The "fitness area" is what it shows on the pictures, except both air conditioners are broken so the "fitness area" is more like a "sauna area", and unusable during daytime. The elevator was broken for many days so we had to use the stairs. Hot water and water pressure was uneven and it would come out cold from time to time Rooms are poorly lit, they only have small windows facing the internal patio. And I was on one of the "deluxe" rooms. No bidet The room was advertised as having a "minibar" but it only had an empty fridge

And the worst thing is the staff doesn't speak proper english, so when they tried to solve your problem they didn't understand what the problem was or were pretending not to understand (e.g. they tried to fix the air on my room after I told them the air on the gym was not working, they kept trying to change me to a different room or installing a router on my room (!) to fix the problem with the internet when the problem was not wifi reception but that they have low bandwidth for the amount of people they accommodate).

Btw, they told me they were fixing the air, but after 4 days it was still broken. I get the idea that they didn't really have the intention to fix it and were just stalling.

Only good things are the location (well connected on Silom) and breakfast (if you like Asian food, the offer of western...

We stayed for two nights one with the triple room and another for the superior room. They provide us a free upgrade to executive as for the next day we were staying for 4 people. For the price that we pay, we are satisfied enough however some issues made us disappointed. Rooms were okay okay, once again for that price is already good enough. Breakfast was very simple some hot foods, for example they provide fried noodles, eggs, pan cake, bread, fruits and etc. The nearest convenient store is 7-11 and if you walk a bit at the shell gasoline station there is family mart.

  1. Room There are a lot of ants in the bathroom and luckily is in the toilet and we are only staying for one night in that room type. The water for the shower is sometimes hot and sometimes cold.

  2. Receptionist During checkout we are suppose to pay however the price that we need to pay and the ones we saw online is different. We discussed for some time as the staff's English was a bit poor. At last, they returned the money back to us and as a hotelier I reminded them to ask the money back from the agent.

The tour desk woman’s attitude is terrible where it is located next to the lobby. We think that the tours were very expensive after listening to her explanation and she kept on bothering us even after we walked out she came out and ask us to consider again, and the next day also.

There is only one elevator at the right hand side and it’s small so ask for a room near to the elevator...

An old, run down hotel, that's seen much better days.

On the plus side, it's very cheap, the manager is a very nice lady, they make a good breakfast with lots of food choices, and the location is great as it's close to all the embassies and some shopping.

That said, however, the rooms are truly disgusting: the walls are absolutely covered with layers of dirt and grime and mysterious drippings including smeared bloody insects and what looks like nose pickings everywhere, glasses were dirty, air-conditioning didn't work, light switches were broken with exposed electrical, bed linen was old, moldy and soiled, the furniture was broken and stained, the bathroom tiles and sink area were covered in black mold, there were no hand soaps, little to no water pressure and omg, the smell was terrible.

I had to change rooms, which as it turns out, wasn't much better.

I posted a few pictures of the moldy pillows and stained bed covers as well as the filthy walls. Truly disgusting. Cringe worthy. Imagine waking up in the morning and realizing you've sleep with that filth all night. 😭

Lastly, there's construction on both sides of the hotel including the facade of the hotel. It's loud in the morning and dirty.

My final analysis... I would NOT suggest staying at this hotel. Spend a bit more, I think you'll end up with a much better choice.

The owners should do this old hotel a favor and tear it down... Anything less is just putting...

We stayed here for our 5 days in Thailand. Since we are traveling on a budget after 2 months of going around East Asia, The Embassy Sathon is just what we needed. Check in was smooth and the front staff were friendly. They even helped us order PadThai noodles from a restaurant that they highly recommended. Our room was spacious and bed was comfortable. The bathroom has complete amenities, good water pressure. ACU needs a little cleaning but not an issue. There's no view from our room except an acces to the inner hall where the parking area is. There's a 7Eleven at the ground floor, a nail salon, massage spa and a laundry shop. Plenty of parking if youre renting a motorcyle or a car. It's also close by a lot of restaurants (about 6-10mins). They also have complimentary full breakfast. There's plenty of food from fried rice, soup, sausage, salad, bread, fruits, juices, milk etc. Another downside is that they do not keep your luggages after check out. Maybe they had bad experiences with tourists on this request or just does not want responsibility for it. But as a hotel, we usually expected this service. Nonethless, we had a wonderful stay.
