probably the worse ever Michelin Star restaurant that provides extremely poor and disgusted level of service in Bangkok for non-thai patrons. 6 mins prior to closing and yet welcomed a party of 10 to sit and dine on conditon to make 1 full complete order at 1 time only and no add-ons later half dining through meals. Order taking ill-manner bad courtesy staff on duty was well-awared that total orders had not even come to half completion. Guests were told that orders can't be amended or changed for reasons that kitchen had already prepared the dish because cook was rushing to clock off work and can't wait any longer and hence cannot be cancelled and forced to accept orders without discretion. How is it possible to expect and start an order rolling at all when all 9 pax of non-thai speaking patrons couldn't or even come to a complete ordering of the desired dish selections and this half past six conceited order taking staff was persistently taking order by order in a tiny notebook and passing the order slips 1 by 1 over to by-standing service staffs to send orders into kitchen immediately without announcing the final complete list of order listings of dishes to patrons to acknowledge and approve before sending order chit over to kitchen for processing? This is a complete nightmare from a Michelin Star standard restaurant with such selfless and non-courteous sub-standard service. Informed to pay for 2 appetizer dishes of THB1,476.60 that's been prepared already in kitchen in less than 2mins as this can't be void by the POS system or something. I will never dine in this restaurant ever again or even bring any of my guests over any more. Well done and thank you for a wonderful weekend evening that you'd ruined for my...

Despite the luxurious exterior and appearance, it is an average restaurant with food that is not worth the price. Had higher expectations as this appeared to be a fine dining place. Had better Thai food on the street that was far more authentic and cost-friendly. The food is edible but really mediocre, has inconsistent flavourings. Food overall lacks in spiciness; I suspect that this restaurant is catered towards foreigners that are adverse to spice.

Things to note about food: Tom Yum soup is abysmal. It is not spicy at all; it is made with a tomato base. Green Curry is not spicy as well, very bland. Cocktails are pretty but that's all to it, would pass on them. Seafood is fresh, especially the fish. Lobster is crispy outside, juicy inside but bursts onto your tongue in a extremely strong sweet and sour flavour. Prawns are huge and juicy. Salted egg is extremely salty, unbearable to the tastebuds.

Things to note about the ambience: There might be business meetings on the upper level and they are extremely noisy. The restaurant didn't play any music so it was echoey and ended up being noisier than the bustling street outside.

To summarise, good place to go with company and to take photos. Very opulent interior and ambience, food looks very fancy with beautiful garnishes and presentation. Go if you have the money to spare. Otherwise, would give this place a miss as there are better food...

We are on holiday from the UK, staying locally to the restaurant. Our first visit was first class, food, service and atmosphere. The waitress was very tentative.

We decided to visit again as it is our last night in Thailand. The experience was quite the opposite. Bad!!

Our original waiter was not great. He disappeared part way through. Failed to inform us that the drink I ordered was sold out. Another waiter informed us when we asked where my drink was.

They forgot my husbands main course. We chased it 3 times. Non of the food came together. We all received our dishes way far apart that we did not eat together. My husbands rice was served and went cold after 40 minutes of sitting on a plate. We had to keep asking for more rice this time as no waiters were paying attention. They were just standing talking.

My husbands Chicken Massman was thick with extra large carrot chunks which made the curry sweet.

If we could have avoided paying service charge we would have. Service was dreadful. We just wanted to leave.

What a shame as we experienced superb service elsewhere during our 2 weeks in Thailand. A bad way to...

I stayed in The Sukhothai Bangkok for 5 nights. There was so much traffic in Bangkok that I didn't want to go far, so I looked for a famous restaurant that was as close as possible. When I searched on HungryHub, I saw Baan Khanitha nearby. I went to the IconSiam branch and also saw the Asoke Hilton branch while passing by. They say this branch is the main branch of these restaurants. I made a reservation on HungryHub with high expectations. The large parking lot and the yellow building looked so pretty, and it seems that they also run an Italian restaurant called Mimosa. The staff were friendly, and there were flowers everywhere, so it was great for taking pictures. I ordered the HungryHub set, so I was able to eat a little cheaper. I ate the riverprawn intestines and it was really delicious. I looked at the 2nd floor with curious eyes to see what was on the 2nd floor, and the manager showed me around. Anyway, the food was delicious and it wasn't as expensive as I thought. I was satisfied with the price, atmosphere, and location.

A well-known royal Thai Cuisine institution. Sitting in a colorful colonial style building, Baan Khanitha serves an extensive menu of royal Thai Cuisine with a spirit of Hokkien Chinese recipe. Summer time 🌞 getting my Khao Chae fix and some Thai food at Baan Khanitha. One of the better Khao Chae's I've had around Bangkok. Food is on the pricey side but generally tastes decent. However, with the price point I've expected better handling of raw materials. Massamun chicken had thick breast pieces which were quite dry on the inside though the vegetables were thoroughly stewed. The Okra stir fry with eggs was good but the dried shrimp were a teeth-breaking risk. Great atmosphere and very good service. All in all I would give it 4 stars.
