As tourists from the Philippines, we make it a point to explore McDonald’s menus in every country we visit, and the MBK Center branch in Bangkok did not disappoint! This location offers a variety of items not available back home, making our visit both exciting and satisfying.

We were thrilled to try the Truffle Beef Burger, which featured a juicy beef patty complemented by a rich truffle sauce—an indulgent treat that elevated the classic burger experience.

The Chicken Bites Namtok Rice was a delightful surprise. This dish combined crispy chicken bites with fragrant jasmine rice, all topped with a spicy and tangy Namtok sauce. The heat lingered pleasantly, offering a satisfying kick that spice lovers would appreciate.

For dessert, the Taro Coconut Pie stood out with its flaky crust and sweet, creamy filling—a tropical twist that we thoroughly enjoyed. The Corn Pie was equally delightful, offering a sweet and savory flavor that’s both comforting and unique.

To wash it all down, we opted for the Fanta Strawberry Soda, a fizzy and fruity drink that perfectly complemented our meal.

We were impressed by the condiment station, which featured three dipping sauces: classic ketchup, American ketchup, and a standout Sweet Chili Dip. The sweet chili sauce, known locally as Nam Chim Kai, offered a perfect balance of sweetness and heat, enhancing the flavors of our meal.

The restaurant was spotless, with a welcoming atmosphere that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We were heartened to see McDonald’s inclusive hiring practices in action, with senior citizens and differently-abled individuals contributing as part of the staff.

The crew members were friendly, attentive, and always wore a smile, making us feel right at home despite being miles away.

As I entered the restaurant, a service staff came over and recommended us the 4pc chicken for 99Baht as it was on promotion. I asked if it comes with fries and drink and was assured that it did with a large drink. She quickly took us to the counter where we ordered. But when we got our food and looking for the drink and fries, she said that we had to pay another 29Baht, for what was a small drink and a small fries!? What happened to the large drink that she was saying. Surely I know the difference between large and small when I heard it mentioned!
