La Dokkana House — Restaurant in Tunis

Absolutely ridiculously bad experience here. We showed up quite early when the second floor of the restaurant wasn't all that busy. We asked if we could have a table on the balcony, and after a lot of fuss, the server said ok fine.

We ordered a spaghetti with fruits de mer and I ordered an emincé de veau (veal) with mushrooms that was served with vegetables. When the order came out, it unexpectedly came out with rice, which I am unfortunately allergic to. I said oh oops, it has rice. The server was extremely rude and said what, you can't read, it said it on the menu then rudely asked if he should take it away. I said no it's fine, if he could just take the rice off it'll be ok. Note that we were given a French menu and since I do speak French, I just translated it for my partner. So for the server to then be so rude about it and basically say I was stupid for not reading the menu when I'm pretty sure it only mentioned the veal and vegetables, was quite shocking. Even if that were true, is that the right attitude considering I also didn't kick up a fuss, I just asked for a plate to remove the rice to.

The veal to be fair, actually tasted quite nice and the spaghetti was ok. The calamari on it was quite tough but otherwise everything was nice.

When it came time for the bill, we put the cash in a leather pouch which they provided. As we stood up to leave, the rude server reached his arm between me and my partner while we were turned the other way, grabbed the cash out of the pouch and made a rude noise.

As we walked away we said Merci, thank you. He just glared at us and didn't even say good night or anything. Extremely weird and terrible service at a place that charges quite a lot for the same thing compared to other restaurants around. We had a superb meal in nearby Cojine for less than half the cost and they were friendly and the food...

Scammers at la dokkana house , please be careful when ordering anything they Will bring you something else and charge you more and when you ask where it is on the menu they say It's special not on the menu. I had a horrible experience I ordered something from the menu and they brought me something that's out of menu and asked for 500 dinars for a single item which isn't listed on the menu and the staff was rude said you've never had this before you don't know anything about it. I checked the price on Google for the same item it was 11 € but they charged me more than 100€ . They changed the price of the same item 3 times and when I threatened to call the police they reduced the bill. And I didn't want to waste more time so I gave up.i went there cause it looked like a proper establishment but they are scammers. Ordered trocadero blue but they brought me the processco. Kindly...

Scamer…. I recently stayed at la Dolan you and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the location was convenient and the rooms were clean, the service, particularly in the dining area, left much to be desired.

Firstly, the food took an incredibly long time to arrive. When it finally did, my pizza was cold and unappetizing. This was very disappointing, especially after such a long wait.

Moreover, the behavior of the waiters was quite rude and unprofessional. Their lack of courtesy and attentiveness greatly detracted from the overall experience.

I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements. I would hesitate to recommend this hotel to others until these problems...
