North Shore Coffee and Snacks — Restaurant in Tunis

[Detailed Review: The Positive and Negative Side] I started visiting this coffeeshop as it was recommended to me by some friends, to work or have a nice drink or food. And I have been visiting it daily for over a month and a half now, for the following reasons : a comfortable space for work with a nice view, great and various choices of drinks, and a considerably good quality of food. HOWEVER, it was definitely not my best nor most comfortable experience. With all its positive points I mentioned, there has been several uncomfortable moments with some of the staff being rude (Not to generalize because, some of them have been great ). Yet, it was not a big issue for me, as I mainly visited the coffeeshop to study, and I do understand that it's such an extremely tiring job and that the staff are only human, and they cannot be friendly all the time. BUT, one incident that really made me leave this review. As I have been visiting with a friend who had a visible physical disability. For the entirety of the time there, we faced no issue, and in some situations the staff were helpful (and I'm thankful for such gestures). Yet, a day ago, my friend who usually leaves her electric scooter near the counter (Noting that the first time she visited, she asked for permission and it was one of the staff who told her to leave it there), was asked rudely to carry it all the way upstairs without suggesting any other alternative that might be more accessible for her(which by the way clearly was not possible for her and even dangerous). Yet, we did as asked. But later, another friend addressed the matter to the staff expressing how uncomfortable and "humiliating" the situation was, in order to understand the reason and highlight the impact such situation can have on a person. Suprisingly, one of the staff answered her nonchalantly stating that "being disabled does not mean to disturb people" and ending the conversation direspectfully. I am leaving this review, not to discourage anyone from going to the Coffee Shop, but rather as a humane response to a displeasing and regretful situation, in hopes the staff of North Shore reconsider this situation or any similar situation that might have caused someone discomfort... I want to remind that people go to coffeeshops as an "escape" to a comfortable and safe space. And that people who work in this kind of business, know very well how much of an impact they can make on someone's day. Be it someone with a disability, someone who's struggling with something else or someone who's totally fine from all perspectives; it is important to remember to be as considerate and as nice as possible to people (not asking you to be buddybuddy with anyone!), because you never know how hurtful and how much of an impact your behaviour or words (that you might even regard as harmless) can have on someone. It is not acceptable to be disrespectful to anyone whoever they are. And please try to consider such situations, deeper than just being a disturbance for you but rather for safety of people (physically and mentally), and that communication with customers never impacts negatively but rather helps your business. i honestly used to not like the place because of how bad the staff was and the clients they had, it's better now especially with the old manager not being there anymore ( khalil ,he was so rude honestly, not to me but he'd be yelling at clients in front of me and others which is honestly not something i want to witness at a cafe) the new manager is way better he's so nice and well behaved so is the rest of the staff, other than that the food is okay it's nothing special though their fondant is DELICIOUS (their cookies are stiff and straight up inedible) , the atmosphere is nice it's a good quiet place for studying , it's a little overpriced if you're getting something other than coffee but i feel like it's expected considering the place and the amazing view u get i definitely...

I was seriously impressed with the breakfast set menu, which came with juice, coffee, pancakes, and a full style English breakfast fry up. The food quality was good and most importantly the portions were HUGE...I finished it, exercised in the afternoon, and was still happily full by dinner time!! 😂 I've read some reviews about bad service, but as a visiting foreigner I thought it was up to standard and as expected. Saw many students around working, so this seems to be a trendy cafe to visit. Try the breakfast set menu...absolutely...
