Cafe Note — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

I went to the this place a few times because I was staying close by but that was the extent of my motivation. Expect Istanbul-level hospitality (see: none) when you come here.

The service is quick because they have many workers just sitting around, but I've seen self-service machines with more personality than them. The curly-haired barista, for some strange reason, will make a drink but not let you know that the drink is ready and will just lazily leave it on the counter and go back outside to socialize without saying a word to you. That was a first for me.

The inside is comfortable with A/C, and the decor is nice as well.

Its hard to find a nice cup of coffee when you're in Turkey. Especially when you're from the Netherlands and are used to your morningcoffee.But I found it, café Note was next to my hostel so i went here everyday for 2 weeks. The lady who runs this place is named Umai (i hope i spelled it right) is a Nice woman who speaks Turkish and a bit of Italian but with non-verbal language everybody can communicate. I don’t usually leave comments but this place deserves 1 star. First of all, the prices written on the sign “take away” at the entrance are wrong. You only find this out at the cashier. Which is not nice. I understand, inflation and all, but prices must be up to date. Secondly, the taste of my drink was bad and the matcha powder was all around my mouth after the drink.
