Mirrors Hotel, what can I say? There is one absolutely lovely female concierge who always has a smile, the lads look like they've got better things to do and are grumpy as hell. Rooms don't get made up each day, had to go and raid the linen cupboard to double bag my pillows that the covers they'd used were stained yellow. Mould everywhere in the room, peeling plaster, plastic bag over fire alarm (stops steam from bath apparently) Room service is almost non existent (had to request that the bedsheets be changed half way through my 8 day stay and even then I had to raid the linen cupboard for fresh pillow cases as the ones they'd put on were covered in stains and all yellow. Been asking for extra coffee for the room the entire stay and had to accost the housekeeping lady myself just now on day 7 to get enough for 2 cups a day. They don't replenish the room with water or cups/condiments each day, you have to go hunting or go without. I paid extra for a suite room and the electrics are dodgy (tape needed to keep kettle plug in, light switch hanging off wall next to hot tub (which I darent use thinking about what's currently in the pipes). UPDATE I did use it and you can't drain the bath once full, they are going to FIX tomorrow once I'm gone(🤣🤣🤣) Busy neighborhood which is a double edged sword as the club's don't shit down in the street outside till 4/5am BUT you are in the centre of Taksim. Would I stay here again? Probably not, now I know why such a nice looking hotel was so much cheaper than the rest in town. Half the lights in the suite don't work but hey I'm here to sleep. 2/5 stars I'm afraid Mirrors Hotel. If I thought complaining earlier on would've made one iota of difference I would've done but it wouldn't have made one jot of difference. Spend the extra if you want to stay central folks and you can always walk to the bars and clubs in Taksim. Don't book last minute in a rush like I did. I feel sorry for the young female concierge/receptionist as she is lovely and deserves to work in a hotel that gives a damn about the guests.

This hotel is charging you around £30 a night for that price it is a modern, clean boutique hotel with fresh paint, nice finishing and people are saying “small rooms” but that’s what a boutique hotel is! However the rooms have everything you need, clean bedding, Samsung TVs, tea and coffee selection, slippers, Evelyn&Crabtree shampoos and lotions, water bottles for drinking and the staff are very helpful if you need extra water or toothbrush they will provide it very quickly! I am very sad to see the bad reviews about noise and music sounds you are booking a hotel bang in the centre and heart of Istiklal street and the centre of Istanbul what do you expect????? It is not the hotels fault that it is surrounded by music and restaurants! It is actually a fun lively area to stay in as a tourist and actually considering how near to the bars it is the noise isn’t that bad! I once again repeat you are paying £30 a night!!! Stop complaining and being cheap if you want huge rooms and bosphorus views go to the Four Seasons for £800 a night and stop picking on lovely small businesses trying to earn a living. I have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world and Mirrors boutique hotel while not 5 star it is clean and provides everything you need for a short stay and they really deserve better reviews!! See photos attached.

Mirrors Hotel boasts an incredible location just off the vibrant Istiklal Street, placing you right in the heart of Istanbul's bustling action. This prime spot means you're steps away from an array of bars, restaurants, shopping venues, and nightlife. However, this central location also brings a fair share of noise, making it a bit of a challenge for light sleepers. The room we stayed in was well-maintained and clean but quite cramped, reflecting the typical compact nature of city center accommodations. The hotel has only one elevator, which can be a bit of a bottleneck during busy times. Despite this, the staff was nice and helpful with our bags, although they generally seemed disinterested and kept a low profile. One thing to note is that Mirrors Hotel doesn't offer additional amenities, such as a gym or a restaurant. However, given its location, you probably won't miss these. There's so much to do right outside the hotel's doorstep, from sampling local cuisine to enjoying the vibrant nightlife. Landmarks like Galata Tower are within walking distance, making this hotel a great base for exploring the city.

Excellent hotel, location is perfection, no exaggeration it is a 10 second walk from the famous Istiklal road, with abundance of cafes, restaurants, shops within radius. The hotel is very chabby chic however it is not an old chabby chic is a modern version, bright white airy feel with lovely pastel colours and grand marble floors with a spiral staircase and well thought through decor, my wife was very impressed, she said shed rather this hotel than some 5 star in the middle of no where! lovely rooms, i went for the economy double too and even that was a good sized room with a balcony too, secure safe, fridge, TV. very clean hotel. staff are friendly and helpful and speak good english and are very respectful. I used the reception staff a few times to call on my behalf and make bookings for spa's, dinner reservations and taxis, will defo come back here, if you visit make sure you go for a shisha at the kulture cafe opposite, best shisha cafe in istanbul!

lots of people say the hotel is noisy at night which is true due to the location as there are lots of clubs bars around, however this background music helped me sleep as i hate sleeping in pure silence, but each to their own!

one thing to keep in mind, you cant drive to the hotel as the hotel is location on a pedestrian only road, so you have to walk from wherever the taxi drops you off with your baggage, wasn't an issue for me but maybe for a family it might be a problem if you have lots of baggage and pram etc, also due to the loud music and area (clubs/pubs)it may not be so ideal for a family with young children but for couples and groups, defo worth it

overall very very good hotel and well worth the money you pay.

if i ever go to istanbul again which is very likely, i will definitely book this...

They help us when another hotel lost our booking. We was dirty and tired after 12-hours trip, but owner kindly offered (using good English!) us good, ready and clean room. It was fair deal. We are grateful for him.||PROS|➕ Lounge and elevator are clean and nice.|➕ WiFi signal has good quality. |➕ TV has Scrren Mirroring. So, you can watch YouTube or Netflix from smartphone. |➕ Water in batroom is strong and enough hot.|➕ Staff is responsive regarding everyday issues. But be ready to ask for help two or three times.|➕ It has good location near Istiklal. Two metro station, shopping, restaurants, Taxim square and Galata tower in 5-10 minutes of walking.|➕ Safe box is including.|➕ Price meets expectation. ||CONS|➖ Because of location is Istiklal that full of bars, outdoor is veeery noise every evening. Be ready. It is better to order room with windows to the backyard.|➖ Soundproifing of room doors is awful. Girls in next door always screamed and laughed after 1:00 AM.|➖ Staff does not react to complaints about neighbors whose behavior is unacceptable, at all.|➖ Long hairs on the floor after each cleaning.|➖ Economy class double room is tiny. It can be uncomfortable for tall people.|➖ My hand towel wasn't changing and has holes.|➖ They give only shampoo and body lotion, but not shower gell. It is so strange...|➖ No...
