Lezizâne Lokantası — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

During our visit in Istanbul we went to this place on multiple occasions. It is a hidden gem, as the prices are so cheap, the portions are big and very filling and the service is amazing. If you are looking to try multiple things for a reasonable price - you won’t be disappointed. Our favourites were lentil soup and any of their dish with eggplant. There were only a couple times where we found chicken a bit too dry or potatoes a little bland. But it did not ruin our experience, as everything else is so delicious.

Don’t forget about the dessert - their caramel tres leches cake is...

Beware of higher than expected bill at checkout like several other reviewers have mentioned. My light lunch order should have come to ~TL130 but I was charged TL170. On the way out I double checked their posted menu and asked the cashier about the discrepancy. He claimed that I was given a larger portion (not true) and quoted a price that was STILL less than what I was charged. At that point I knew this is a scam. Oddly, even the discount supermarket across the alley has similar complaints. So it looks like this part of Taksim, or perhaps all if it, is set up to rip...

Today I visited this place with my boyfriend. we wanted to try interesting dishes from Turkish cuisine. And we chose the dish. I can't eat all day after this chicken. I suffer from indigestion. you ruined my day. and I still smell the disgusting aftertaste of the dish. the chicken was veiny and raw in places, and the top had a vomitous consistency, but because of a great desire to satisfy my hunger, I partially ate this dish. but I can't repeat how you ruined one of my bad days...
