Çin Büfe — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

I came here on my own but did not feel at all out of place in the casual, cafeteria-like atmosphere of Cin Bufe, which means goblin in Turkish, according to my Google translator app.

I started with a bowl of wonton soup that turned out to be so hearty and filling it was nearly a meal in itself. It came with two plump wontons bursting with meaty filling and a delicious, warming broth packed with freshly diced vegetables.

Then I ordered two crispy spring rolls that were so full of flavor and vegetables they definitely tasted homemade. Some of the best spring rolls I’ve ever had and they were served with a small dish of fiery hot pepper sauce.

For a main course I had the General Tao’s chicken, which was slightly overcooked and a little dry, although still provided a decent flavor but I would not recommend it. However, the table full of ladies next to me had big bowls of steamy, delicious looking, stir fried noodles that looked amazing. I will definitely get that next time.

I washed it all down with a Chinese tea, freshly brewed right in the cup, and was so full by the end that I skipped dessert.

The service was warm, friendly and efficient. All for only 80 lira, which is about $15. A...

If you stayed long enoungh in istanbul, after a would want to change from the regular pattern of fast food, koftah , kebab or shawrama. In the side streets of taksim you would find a hidden treaure that calls for the asian food lovers to come too. Varied between chineses and japanese dishes, you will be able to relive the beauty of Soya souse once more.

We fouces on the chinese food, we had hot and sour soup veggeis noodels, kon baow chicken and a beef dish. The soup wasn't amazing but nice, it was made with chicken chuncks.

The beef was decent, like 6.5/10. The chicken was really nice and had walnuts with it!7.5/10 Finally the veggie noodels was well cooked and had nice seasoning and perfect amount of sauce to it 8/10 The problems we had was minor, like the place was really hot and hard to breath in. And if you sit deep inside the restaurant you won't have cell phone signels(i don't feel that it's their fault honestly, just heads up)

Served Chinese which was quite good. We tried their soups and found chicken and corn soup really good. Hot n sour wasn't bad either. Their vegetable rice and noodles were delicious you could just eat them plain. We ordered their General Tso chicken which was spicy enough for our liking. Crispy chicken with ginger was really good...the chicken was crisp and there was a strong ginger taste which I really enjoyed. The chicken with almonds was a little bland for our taste. Sweet n sour chicken was fine too. Overall we had a good experience. The service is a tad bit slow with a laid back attitude of the waiters, they will not bother taking your order till you give them a shout.
