Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. Every staff member was incredibly kind and helpful. I stayed here for a total of 6 nights — 3 nights at first, then I went to Cappadocia for 2 nights, then I came back for 3 more nights. The hotel is located in a very cute and lively little area called Kumkapi amongst several other hotels and restaurants. It’s only a 12 minute walk from the Grand Bazaar and 20 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia area. I really appreciated the ability to walk to many of the sites I wanted to see. There are also two metro (train) stations that are walking distance, which I definitely recommend leveraging to go to different neighborhoods in Istanbul. Before I arrived and throughout the entire stay, the hotel managers were communicative and available via WhatsApp if I ever needed anything. While I was away at Cappadocia, the hotel was kind enough to store my bigger luggage in their safe so that I did not have to carry it around with me. I also changed my return flight to Istanbul to come back slightly earlier in the day, and I was able to change my check in time easily by texting the manager. Our room was very clean, and had a nice balcony with a view of the central area. For my stay, I chose the option to have breakfast included everyday, and I thoroughly enjoyed the daily Turkish breakfast and Turkish coffee — it was delicious and a great way to start each day. Overall, I’m very pleased with the hotel and am grateful to the entire staff for their...
Read moreAn unforgettable stay in every way! Staying at Old Harbour Hotel and Terrace was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of Istanbul’s historic district, just a few minutes’ walk from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. The rooms were clean, cozy, and full of character.
The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful – they responded to every request immediately and with a smile. Breakfast was generous, varied, and delicious – we truly experienced Turkish hospitality at its finest.
The restaurant beneath the hotel, Old Harbour Kumkapı Restaurant, is a real gem! The food was incredibly tasty, made from fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. We tried some local specialties – all fresh and full of flavor – always accompanied by delicious Turkish tea. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere was authentic, with lovely music, warm lighting, and a stunning view – a perfect dinner experience I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone!
A special shoutout to the entire staff, especially Artur, Aydin, and Yasar – it’s rare to meet such genuinely kind, attentive, and professional people. They were always helpful, greeted us with a warm smile, and you could truly feel they put their heart and soul into what they do.
I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul – don’t even think twice! And if I ever return to this magical city, I will definitely be...
Read moreA fantastic hotel. One of the best rooms for the price point, which is great value considering breakfast is included, no service charge on food and a discount on food and drinks for residents.
Super friendly and helpful staff, made the stay very enjoyable.
It's nicely furnished throughout, and has a rooftop for late arvo drinks. No baths for midgets or plastic shower curtains here. And aircon so quiet I sometimes wondered if it was on. The room has good sound insulation so it stays cool. And if you don't fancy joining early morning mass you don't need to listen in.
It's also well located in a low traffic restaurant heavy area. Although we didn't see the need to eat elsewhere, the eat in food is great and also cheaper than the surrounding offerings...
