The manager was very nice in welcoming us to the restaurant however the staff was very rude and got our order wrong by not giving us what we asked for (we wanted fish -no bones or head and i was given everything also no salad as requested in the beginning). The waiter then refused to give salad whilst we was having our meal, only to give it at the end, after the manager asked us if everything was okay and we told him our salad was missing. The Waiter rushed our order and did not want to listen to us when we tried to explain our preferences (hence the wrong order). When getting the bill, we were just looking and calculating the prices; the same rude waiter came and rudely took the receipt off my hands and started shouting our orders out to everyone then made a comment about not tipping/no service charge etc, without even knowing what we were doing. At this point we hadn’t even asked to pay the bill as we were drinking the complimentary tea. I paid for the full amount and the waiter was extremely rude by chucking the receipt at my face. How ridiculous. Would’ve left a tip for the staff, as we have been doing with all the other lovely restaurants we had been visiting in Istanbul but they clearly did not deserve it. Absolutely horrible service. Although the food was good, I will never visit this restaurant again. What a horrible end to a beautiful day I had with my family. No manners or etiquette whatsoever. It would’ve been understandable if i was to speak rudely to him but nothing was said or done in that manner. I definitely would not recommend anyone going if you would like to have a good time -PLEASE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT...

This has been the worst food experience here so far. We can get far better and (shockingly) even cheaper kebabs in Norway. It was lathered in a weird ketchup sauce and the lamb chops were so tough I couldn’t cut it. Aside from the bad food, the waiter kept watching us and trying to get us to order the most expensive dishes which we didn’t want. Then when it came time to pay, he pointed out that the tip isn’t included and wanted me to add in tip. When I told him no, he got angry and insisted that it’s not included so I should add in tip. I continued to say no and tried to put in the code for my card and he watched over me which I found disturbing. Overall, it was the only negative food experience so far in the past week. I don’t believe the other reviews are real. Total tourist trap. Expensive since just a simple kebab plate and lamb chops came to around 2500 liras...

Hotel Review The stay was very convenient. not too close but not too far from public transport. If you want to avoid walking uphill when returning to the hotel, get off at Sultanahmet Station, and it’s a downhill walk to the hotel. When heading out from the hotel, you can simply walk downhill to the nearby Gulhane Station.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful. I accidentally left my bag at the hotel and only realized it after returning to Malaysia. Thankfully, the hotel staff contacted me. I requested their help to send the bag to another hotel where my friend was staying in Istanbul. Mr. Osman, the hotel manager, was incredibly helpful — he personally delivered the bag without asking for any payment, even when I offered.
