Nereid Meyhanesi Kaş — Restaurant in Kaş

The only good thing about this place is a live music. We passed by after dinner, heard an amazing singer, and decided to grab some desert with a Turkish tea while listening to the lovely music. Incredibly rude waiter showed us right away that we were not welcomed. Told us “I don’t sell tea, I give it for free if you eat”. We ordered 2 deserts, and 4 glasses of tea. The check showed us that the tea was sold to us for 40tl per glass which is ridiculous and not on the menu (at least they do sell the tea after all). Plus charged extra 30tl per guest for serving us our deserts and tea.

Their response to the comments here is even worse than their awful service. Huge disappointment. I’m sure their response to my comment will be just as rude, ignorant, and lack any idea about how a high end establishment communicate with their guests. Literally answered my husband “we are not a coffee shop, if you want some dessert and tea then look for other places”. Nereid Gurme, if you position your establishment as an exceptional restaurant of certain level, first learn the basics of the hospitality business.

150% we’ll not return to try their “crayfish, meze, or fish” they are so proud to serve because your service and how you communicate is equally as important as the food you serve. Also, will certainly not recommend this place to anyone else...

We weren't expecting much considering the restaurants had just opened, but the quality of service was disappointing. We ordered a portion of calamari and although it was a bit expensive it was so tasty that we decided to repeat. The second portion was completely different, with frozen calamari of very low quality. We ordered Grit Ezme and it was anything but Grit Ezme. It was made of green bell pepper and yogurt and a little bit of cheese. The quality of the meze (even the most basic ones) is very low. The treatment of the customers is also quite bad. The table next to us (friends of the owner) were offered tea all the time while we were not offered tea even when we paid the bill (quite inflated). It is understandable that the situation of restaurants is delicate nowadays, but it is terrible to see how the service was only looking for our money, with a lousy service and...

Definitely not recommend this place. Big disappointment. To start with we didn’t get menu, we needed to ask for it ourselves. All the drinks were just delivered to us, no one helped to poor them. Service is more like a self service. But main disappointment was food, for 280lira I ordered steak. I am sorry, but what I got was not steak, I couldn’t even finish it with ketchup.

Big point as well is that my partner was waiting for her pasta for 30 minutes, when my steak was already on the table. So she was just watching me eat and vice versa after.

We didn’t get bread. I assume that happened as we didn’t order any appetisers.

Service was bad, main dishes were bad, restaurant is beautiful.

To sum up I will not return to this restaurant and will not recommend it to anyone. There are better others options in Kas...
