Ruhibey Restaurant 1949 — Restaurant in Kaş

Horrible experience. Avoid this restaurant at all cost. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby.

I honestly do not know where to start.

1. We had to wait about 45 minutes before the mezes to showed up.
2. They had no cola zero in hand and brought it from their depot. and it was served warm.
3. Unexperienced staff, mostly boys in their teens. All of staff were extremely stressed running back and forth.
4. Got two of the orders completely mixed up with other dishes we did not order.
5. The manager did not care at all about our feedback.
6. Many other guests had complaints throughout the dinner. I.e. wrong orders and card machine not working.

A friend of mine visited the restaurant a day ahead of me and unfortunately did not have the time to warn me. Upon leaving a review the owners of the restaurant responded by lying about watching the "CCTV" and said the food was delivered in 20 minutes which it was not.

So I am guessing the owners of the restaurant will answer with a lie to this...

The appearance and atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, like many others in that area of Kas. They are very eager to get you in the restaurant and we already had a strong recommendation for this restaurant, however once seated the attention declines. We waited long to get menus, which do not contain a drinks list, bar a whole page of different Rakis. Food was mixed, from poor to quite tasty. We ordered starters and mains, which both arrived at the same time and both of these before we even had received our drinks. Staff seemed disinterested and restaurant was only about one third full at the time. Other smaller points also added to a feeling of not really being welcome: no soap in either male nor female toilets, which staff were also using. burnt bread for some of the slices only Turkish menu available online, English and Russian versions were corrupted no Aryan in a Turkish restaurant, why?

We wanted to order dessert, but nobody attended for ages. Disappointing...

We visited Ruhi Bey Kas after a friend recommended it, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations. The service was noticeably lacking — the restaurant seemed very understaffed, and the servers were clearly overwhelmed, running around in a frenzy. It really impacted the overall experience.

Hamdi was the one bright spot of the night. He was kind, attentive, and did his best to take care of us despite juggling several tables at once. His effort was appreciated, but one person can only do so much.

The food was just okay — nothing particularly special or better than what you’d find at similar places. The restaurant tries to offer a traditional meyhane experience, but the lack of good service takes away from it entirely.
