Visiting Nusret Istanbul was a memorable culinary experience that exceeded all my expectations. The restaurant, known for its luxurious ambiance and impeccable service, truly lived up to its reputation. Located in a vibrant part of Istanbul, Nusret offers a blend of modern elegance and traditional Turkish warmth. Atmosphere and Ambiance From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the restaurant’s sleek and stylish decor. The interiors are designed to exude sophistication, with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and an open kitchen that lets you witness the artistry behind the dishes. The energy in the restaurant was palpable, and the attentive staff made sure every guest felt special. The Culinary Experience The highlight, of course, was the food. Nusret is renowned for its expertly prepared meat dishes, and every bite was a testament to the chef’s mastery. Here’s what I tried and loved: 1. Tomahawk Steak: The signature dish was presented with a dramatic flair. The meat was perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and rich in flavor. Watching the chef slice and sprinkle it with Nusret’s signature flourish of salt was an added delight. 2. Lokum (Turkish Delight Steak): A personal favorite, the Lokum steak was incredibly soft and melted in my mouth. The seasoning was spot on, enhancing the natural flavor of the beef. 3. Nusret Burger: For something less formal, the Nusret Burger was a revelation. It had a succulent patty, layered with fresh ingredients and served in a perfectly toasted bun. 4. Sides and Desserts: The mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful, while the roasted vegetables added a nice balance to the meal. For dessert, I indulged in the baklava, which was served with a dramatic flourish and topped with a scoop of ice cream. What Made It Special One of the most enjoyable aspects of my visit was the interactive experience. The staff’s enthusiasm and professionalism added to the fun. From their choreographed service to the entertaining way the dishes were presented, it was clear that dining at Nusret is not just about food—it’s about creating unforgettable memories. The portions were generous, and each dish showcased the highest quality ingredients. The smoky aroma of the grilled meats and the burst of flavors in every bite made the meal unforgettable. Service The service was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, quick to offer recommendations, and attentive without being intrusive. They were also happy to accommodate special requests, ensuring that every guest’s preferences were met. Conclusion My visit to Nusret Istanbul was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of a vibrant atmosphere, exquisite food, and stellar service made it a dining experience I would recommend to anyone visiting Istanbul. It’s not just a meal; it’s an event, and I loved every moment of it. If you’re a meat lover or simply someone who appreciates high-quality dining, Nusret Istanbul is a must-visit. It’s an experience I’ll cherish and one that left me looking forward to returning.

We initially sat in the room located across from the bookstore; my girlfriend found the enclosed front outdoor section too cold. We were greeted by who I assume is the headwaiter -assuming because he seemed to be the primary greeter and was dressed different from the other waiters. He took our orders as well. I ordered the Nusret burger and my girlfriend ordered the other burger option. I ordered my burger medium-rare, to which he replied "really? ok" -acting fairly surprised. This struck me as strange because though most of my Turkish friends prefer their meat medium to well done, medium rare should not be an uncommon order in an upscale burger establishment in an international city. We were promptly re-sat from a shared table to a 2-top table. However, we could barely move and the waiters could barely reach us. Getting up from our table and going to the bathroom required much awkward reshuffling on our part and that of the people sitting next to us. The difficulty had not only to do with the fact that many people were in a small space, but also the bases of the tables were so wide that the chairs could not actually move in closer to the table. While travelling to and from the bathroom I had the feeling that I was getting in the way of the waiters -while they were all very friendly and helpful in general, I found that element of their behaviour off-putting. There was one bathroom for a room that sat maybe 25-40 people, not enough in my opinion and judging by the fact that I was walked in on almost immediately after entering it (the locking system wasn't great). Also, the restroom was not clean -messy floors and sink surfaces. Our salad came promptly. We ordered it without cheese but it came with about 1 cup of it. However it was very good anyway and we were hungry so we didn't send it back. My girlfriend wasn't provided with a napkin and it took us a while to get her one. The biggest disappointment was that my burger was served very rare -brown only on the edges -definitely not medium-rare. Despite that, it was good, and I think I would have really enjoyed it if it had been cooked properly. Also, since the inside was essentially raw and I didn't feel bad at all afterwords I have to assume that the meat was of a good quality. Our beverages only came after we asked for them a second time. I thought the 2014 Kayra Merlot did not pair well with the burger and wasn't great by itself either, it tasted flat, was slightly sour and fairly one-dimensional, which surprised me as I've had some great varieties from the Kayra brand. My girlfriend was served Pepsi in a can after asking for coca-cola (a small glass bottle would be such a nicer touch). And the condiments were the cheap kinds served in plastic bottles with many low-quality ingredients (Heinz I believe?) you see in 18TL and under burger spots. It would be such a touch to have slightly more upscale and/or natural condiments served in something other than plastic.

A Light version of Nusret. But still worth coming. Based in the chic neighbourhood of Nişhantaşi, amongst the well-known brands, this "Light version" of Nusret Saltbae serves mainly burgers and a reduced menu of meat dishes. The quality of the meals is very good and tasty. The service is pro and efficient and you can resume your walk quickly after eating. The place is well located, cosy and family-friendly. Having visited the Nusret Reataurant in Grand Bazar (that I have scored 5), I find that this one lacks: - character of the place and the over all saltbae spirit - the show doesn't exist - the dexterity of some servers has to improve (piece of Baklava fell on the table and he put it back in the plate) - definitely they need some smiling course (way too serious to my taste). I still rate this place a 4 thanks to the good points mentioned before. My recommendation to you if you visit Nusret restaurant for the first time : Go to the one in the Grand Bazar. Bon appétit. MYS

This is what you get with effective marketing and a lack of actual talent in the kitchen. For one, the service is lacking for such an overpriced restaurant (not once was checked on to see how I was doing or if I needed anything). If that wasn’t enough to be discouraged, the food definitely put it over the top. This was one of the absolute worst burgers I have had. No taste to it at all. Bland thick cuts of beef that just tasted like someone was trying to make a ridiculous burger in their kitchen high off drugs. I’m astonished anyone would ever say anything good about this burger. The golden milkshake was just as bad. This place is made for pictures and that’s it. I finally tried this place after avoiding it because I knew deep down this place was propped up by great marketing and a viral video of a man dropping salt from his hand. That’s all this place will be.

We were recommended this place by a friend and were aware that it was famous. We opted for the famous rack of lamb, however, the waiter also recommended we get additional meals each as the lamb alone won't be enough. So we got ourselves a nusr-et burger with fried each. It is quite possibly the best burger I've ever had. Very tasty and juicy! Just excellent. Then came the lamb. I was disappointed with the lamb because they were very plain tasting. Also, we were already quite full by now from the burger meal. I feel we were oversold. And once we finally somehow got through the huge amount of lamb and we asked for the bill - the guy tried to sell us more meals! This is what let down the experience. I would go back, but only for the burger meals.

The best burger I have ever eaten: Lokum Burger. I highly recommend it. It has pure meat, very tasty prepared. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered another burger: 2nd time I chose the standard Nusr-et burger, which was also very tasty. However: Lokum burger wins the prize of best burger ever! Baclava was good, but nothing special compared to the one from other places (like Mado). Not so good: they only have one bathroom, meaning one cabin for both men and women and this cabin contains both WC and sync to wash hands. There was always queue at the bathroom. Even for washing your hands, you had to wait in the queue (because everything is in one room). Maybe this is why they give the gloves :))
