My husband and I have been to this place three times and we were joined by a friend on all the three times. From the very first time we went to otters bar we have been served by a waitress called Angel. On our first time, (it was a Friday) Angel brought our bill which my husband cleared and shortly she came back and said oh she had forgotten to add this so I noticed something and asked her what is wrong she explained to me I said okay. Instead of writing the 50k that she claimed wasn’t added, she had put the full amount on the machine card again which I confronted her about and she said “but he was going to pay it” I said NO you can’t do that and told her that’s not nice of her, “she apologized”. That’s red flag one but we blushed it off. We go back the second time, this time on a Saturday. On this day, we really enjoyed the music very much and we made a conclusion, this is our spot to be while in Kampala. Again we are served by Angel and when the bill came we got over changed which she went and changed three times 🤦🏾. She was over charging us for the shots. We were back again the next weekend which was after Valentine’s Day. Very nice music. On this day I said, let me write down the shots we are taking so that we have evidence and not fall prey again for what has kept on happening. Long story short, When the bill came, it was very evident that this waitress Angel is always over charging us. We had only 8shots taken and written but our bill came and had 17shots?????? Like 17shots. As far as I know the other shots that she was claiming we never ordered for and neither did they come to our table. I had a talk with guess the supervisor and some other employee guy guess the manager I can’t remember who he was and was very helpful!!! When being served by Angel, you need to write down what you are drinking unfortunately which has made us take a break from the place until further notice but maybe we will be back sometime in the future as we really enjoy the music. The music is everything and good selection...
Read moreThis is such an unsettling place! I visited this establishment one late Saturday morning and they were charging 10,000/= for entrance! I asked what time they were closing to be charging sh. 10,000/= at 3am! I got in and found a place to sit by myself! One of the employees approached me and asked me why I was seated alone to which I responded because I was alone! He proceeded to tell me that I was suspected by security to be a spy and so they wanted me to leave! They even mentioned that I inquired at what time they closed! I found this place to be dubious, prejudiced against Ugandan nationals and racist too! I shared my experience with a couple of people who had been there before and they flat out called this place racist! There were other non Ugandan nationals seated by themselves and no one approached to ask them why they were seated alone! I told the young Ugandan man who approached me that I was disappointed in his behavior and the security as well for profiling me in my own country! I also mentioned to him that it was my first and last time to ever walk into that establishment! Save yourself from embarrassment by not visiting this place! It left a bad taste in my mouth! Hands down a low down dirty place!...
Read moreNot too many people on most days so good for a group hang since they have quite a bit of space. Space is very open though so if it's cold, dress appropriately. The pizza is just so-so, a 60% maybe on that front. Parking not an issue as there's an entire street available to you. A bit secure since it's in the good Kololo area/neighborhood, but it can be difficult to get public transport at times due to this same fact. You want to make sure you have transport figured out before hand if you're not driving. Washrooms are okay, not 4, 5 star but clean enough. Quite frequented by foreigners/Caucasians so if you're one, you may feel more comfortable here before hitting the wilder Kampala spots. Ample screens and DSTV available if you want to catch...
