Tavola offers a cozy and intimate dining experience, perfect for a small group of friends or a romantic date. The ambience truly stands out with its warm, inviting atmosphere and the added charm of live serenading, which was neither overwhelming nor intrusive. Just the right touch of intimacy.

The food was the highlight of the evening. While it took some time to arrive by over 40 minutes despite the restaurant not being crowded—it was undeniably delicious. The flavors were so good they almost made us forget the hiccups along the way.

Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food or the ambience. While our orders were taken promptly, the long wait for the food and the lack of a drinks menu made the experience less seamless. The waiter had to list drink options from memory, which made the process a bit confusing. At one point, the waiter even borrowed my colleague’s phone to show the chef what they wanted to order ; a rather unorthodox approach that might have been an exception but didn’t leave the best impression.

Additionally, several items on the menu were unavailable, which limited our choices. These small service lapses stood in stark contrast to the otherwise well-thought-out ambiance of the restaurant.

I visited this restaurant because it had a nice atmosphere and seemed like a good place to get some work done on my laptop. A staff member kindly directed me to a seat with a power outlet, and I set up my laptop and keyboard. I let them know I’d only be having a coffee and placed my order.

However, when my drink arrived in a takeaway cup, the lid was not properly secured. The moment I lifted the cup from the tray, the lid came off and the coffee spilled all over my keyboard. I managed to dry it quickly, but unfortunately, the keyboard was damaged.

I informed a staff member about what had happened, but the only response I received was a brief “Sorry.” Shortly after, the manager came over, but rather than offering any assistance, they simply said they didn’t know what to do and added, “This is not a place for using computers.”

If that’s the case, perhaps that could have been communicated before I sat down and set up my equipment.

I told them I would try to dry the keyboard further and see if it worked again. The manager never returned to check in. I eventually left my contact details with a supervisor, who promised to follow up within two hours—but it’s now been almost five days with no response.

The ambiance is nice but service was not good. The poor waiter was let down by his team. Took almost an hour for our starters to come, and another hour for them to come tell us what half of us ordered is unavailable. Oh we had to eat our starters in our hands because after 2 hours of asking multiple times we were not given any plates! The lady at the till was not interested in hearing any feedback and was ignoring our request to get the bill for what we consumed.
