Eager to try something adventurous, I ordered their signature antelope burger, intrigued by the promise of game meat - a rarity on typical menus.

Unfortunately, the execution fell short. Despite requesting the antelope patty to be cooked rare, it arrived well done. Antelope, being lean and prone to drying out, truly suffers when overcooked. The result was a burger that lacked the juicy, tender quality this meat is known for, though the toppings and artisan bun were flavorful and fresh.

To their credit, the server was attentive and apologetic when I mentioned the issue, promptly offering a complimentary dessert to compensate. The gesture was appreciated and showcased their commitment to customer satisfaction.

While the mishap with the burger was disappointing, the pleasant atmosphere and proactive service hint at the restaurant’s potential. Excellent restaurant for formal dining with professional service N00°19.577', E32° 35.269' Moved from Impala Avenue to Lower Kololo Terrace Road, the Lawns left the green lawn with wandering bunnies for wooden terraces between the 18-hole course of the Uganda Golf Club 1908 along the Yusuf Lule Roaf in Kampala. The entrance to the restaurant was hidden behind a disappointing wall and car park, not well marked, but the uniformed guard welcomed us and showed us the way to reception. The restaurant is spread over several levels with the restaurant building with kitchen on the highest level. It is a formal place to dine with set tables with real tablecloths and the service of professional waiters. In December 2022, we ordered the game meat tasting menu (90.000sh) and were not disappointed. We loved the presentation, the preparation of the different dishes with flags and the texture and flavour of the different meat products. Very enjoyable. The service was excellent: a real delight to find that good service can add so much to a very good dinner.
