Was asked if I really wanted to eat here when arriving. Upon replying yes, I was met with surprised annoyance, followed by reluctance in giving me the menu.

The dish selection is good, however the first two things that I ordered (beef, then goat luwombo) were apparently not available. Thus I was bought beef stew, which was comparatively bland to the one I had had earlier (and for half the price + double the food).

When I asked for the bill, the price was higher than what was on the menu. When I brought this up, they said that they had raised the prices but not updated the menu… I came here based on the good reviews, maybe things have changed, but this was...

If you want an authentic Ugandan culinary experience - this is the place to be! It is located in Nakasero. Quite packed during lunch hours! It is a popular joint for most of the working class locals.

Food was tasty and the portions were really large! I would have to starve for 2 days for me to finish the servings.😅😅 particularly loved the beef in groundnut sauce luwombo. 😋
