A nice Indian restaurant
Let's start with the good points. The hostess and waiter were very nice and we were satisfied with the service. All the food we had was delicious apart from the paneer in spinach cream sauce which was also tasty but way too salty. This restaurant is in a basement but there are high windows in two of the halls. The seating is mostly soft couches which was good.
A couple of points to improve. There is no way to dry your hands after using the toilet or washing your hands on the toilet itself except for on your clothes or by using some toilet paper. There seems to be brackets where paper towels could be but there were no paper towels. There was a hand dryer and paper towels just outside of the toilet. The holder for the toilet paper fell off the wall several times and there appears to be little holding it up apart from a small sliver of metal.
Portions are not very big and the prices are not very cheap.

Service is ok and friendly but seems to be only in Russian/Ukrainian. The underground "cafe" type atmosphere with loud music is not suitable for a date or romantic rendevous! I would definitely return because I enjoyed the food here more than at the far more expensive "Kamasutra". From the outside it seems closed and uninspiring. Go down the narrow stairs behind the sign to get to this brightly lit underground restaurant and enjoy your meal. Most of the classics like samosas and chicken thika are...
Read moreA regular at the only authentic Indian Restaurant in Odessa Ukraine. The food really has the indian flavour. The cook is very generous and understands the exact taste of indian as well as ukrainian clients. My ukrainian friends who had visited India several times told me that it is India away from India. Surprisingly the prices are also very low. God knows how the owners run this restaurant with such low prices. Service needs a little upgrade. Ambience too needs more authenticity. Location is excellent being just a minute away from Centre Deribasvskaya Street. I would...
