I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the brunch spread at Artisan Kitchen at the Bab Al Qasr Hotel. Let me tell you, it was a feast for the senses... well, most of them!
A Culinary Adventure: The variety at Artisan Kitchen blew me away. It felt like a trip around the world on a plate. From fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon to exotic curries and beautifully presented mezze platters, there was something to satisfy every craving. Each dish was bursting with fresh flavors and top-notch ingredients.
Sushi with a Side Note: This is where things got a little tricky. I'm a huge sushi fan, and while the presentation looked lovely, the rice was a bit of a letdown. It was on the dry side, and the pieces were a tad too big because of all the rice. This threw off the perfect flavor and texture balance I expect from good sushi.
The Final Verdict:
Despite the sushi stumble, Artisan Kitchen's brunch is definitely worth a try. The sheer variety and quality of the other dishes were phenomenal. Just maybe skip the sushi and focus on the other culinary gems they have to offer. Your tastebuds...
Read moreI am giving a one star not for the food, but for how they try to take people's money. I called them and informed them that I have Entertainer before going, and they confirmed that I can join the breakfast buffet and use it. The moment I reach there, the lady at the reception tells me that the price is different to people who use Entertainer, so instead of 125 AED / person, it becomes 225 AED. The worst part is that lady was confidently telling me that "she will give this price which is cheaper than Entertainer", when the price of the breakfast per person is just 125 AED. Even if I still accept that she charges me by the Entertainer, it will be 225/2= 112.5 AED per person, which is still cheaper that what she offered. Now I did my part when I called before going to confirm that I can join, but what do I call what they were trying to...
Read moreI was invited to Artisan today for iftar and while the ambiance had an oriental theme, it was a bit too loud for my liking … The oriental décor and theme of the hotel created a unique and interesting atmosphere … The use of traditional colors and patterns added to the overall ambiance of the place. However, the music was a bit loud and overwhelming. It made it difficult to have a conversation with those at my table without raising my voice.
The food selection was average, with a variety of dishes available. However, the quality of the food was not impressive. The dessert selection was decent, with a range of sweets and pastries available.
I hope Artisan Kitchen can take steps to improve the quality of their dishes and adjust the volume of the music to create a more enjoyable iftar experience for...
