MOKSH Conrad Etihad Towers
Last night Paul and I went out late...we're real old hermits these days and are usually fed and home in our PJs by 9, but we pushed the boat out and booked the new Friday evening brunch at Moksh, Conrad Etihad Towers. We started with happy hour at Rays Bar, which refreshingly includes mocktails. So often happy hours are only good value for booze. I had something involving key lime (can't remember the name) and it was so delicious. We enjoyed the view and laughed at crazy jet ski antics below.
The MOKSH BRUNCH runs from 8-11 and is a real journey of the senses. The restaurant is pretty and comfortable with cool music and really friendly, chilled out staff. The drinks and mocktails are a bit different and a really nice change from the norm. I had mixed feelings about the Anar Chatka, which I still don't know if I loved or hated... We had amuse bouche followed by a selection of starters which were all amazing, our favourite being the Tikki chaat which is extraordinary, but it's all good. We were offered repeat orders, but be cautious, this ends up being a BIG feed. Paul was happily slurping his new favourite cocktail, the East India, a yummy and rather lethal gin, ginger, hibiscus concoction (which he's now addicted to). The mains were small dishes of our chosen selection with some extras with the choice to refill, turned out there was no way we had room for repeat orders. The lamb was outstanding, but all very good. Some favourite Indian traditional and some with a cool twist and loads of flavour. The biryani was a real surprise, Paul declared it the best he's ever had (and he spends a lot of time in regions where it's a staple). We only just had room for pudding, which was a selection of small samples, again with the option to repeat. Everything was good, however the jury is out on the Beetle nut ice cream, though to be fair we were too full to give it a fair trial...
In all, a great addition to the brunch list. The venue, quality, selection and service all add up to make it pretty special. The lads are already planning a big Gentleman's (their description not mine) get together soon. Chef Abs and his team really host a lovely night. It felt like being invited into somebody's (very lovely) home and treated like honoured guests. Meti was one of the highlights of our evening, she was so interesting, and just lovely, as were all the team. We will definitely be back.
We had the non-vegetarian brunch which I think is very fairly priced at AED199 for soft AED350...

From their classy ambience to their alluring dishes and impeccable service, It is certainly the place to visit for that phenomenal experience when it comes to fusion cuisine as they have much more to offer than the usual selective dishes on an Indian Menu.
The menu is designed to cater various cravings without compromising the originality of the dish. We were warmly welcomed by their hostess and Manager and shortly after by Chef Abs Patil who presented us with a levitating dish of pani puri. A dish I never would have expected to be presented so elegantly.
For starters we had the following and I would highly recommend them all. Words cannot describe how flavourful they were so you would have to try this yourself as they were all on point and exceeded my expectations. Don’t forget to indulge in the spicy sauces served with them that really adds that extra touch that you will definitely appreciate.
Patrani Black Cod Murgh Marbaha Chilli Corn Samosa Dynamite Koyla
For Mains, I have starred the 2 dishes that I immensely enjoyed. The spices really give that great authentic punch to the dishes.

Read moreA wonderful culinary experience at Moksh💫💞. . Besides being a restaurant with a world-famous chef, Moksh is also known for its progressive approach to Indian cuisine as well as maintaining traditional values. . Its menu features exquisite Indian fare and extraordinary drinks, as well as a soothing ambiance filled with Indian soft music🎶🎼🎵. . On the menu, you will find a variety of exciting combinations. The menu offers a wide variety of choices that cater to meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. . Here are some of the items we tried: . I was particularly fond of the 🌟Dynamite Koyla. It’s Charcoal-crusted tempura prawns, dynamite sauce, schezwan chutney. This item is always a crowd-pleaser due to its crispy exterior and succulent interior (crunch in every bite). . 🌟Murgh Marhaba Delicious malai chicken tikka, cooked with labneh, green chili, zaatar. There was a divine mix of spices in the dish. It was like eating tender, juicy meat. . 🌟Guacamole Crab was something very interesting we tasted from the menu. It’s a mix of Smashed tandoori avocado, crabmeat, tomato salsa. Pappads of different kinds were served with it. A snack that is perfect for a stand-alone appetizer or as a stand-alone snack. As it's a large mound of avocado, you should share it😉. This Indian seafood twist on the traditional guacamole is definitely worth trying. . 🌟Moksh Moo and 🌟Bombay Blues are two great cocktails to enjoy regardless of the season. These cocktails are appropriate for any occasion🍹🍹. . Our main course was 🌟Lamb Biryani with onions and berries. Savory lamb morsels tossed with saffron basmati, berries, and caramelized onions. A unique biryani packed with a lot of flavor and aroma and fork-tender meat, this is one of the best on the menu. The meat just melts in your mouth. . 🌟Naan bread was the perfect accompaniment to the delicious 🌟Dhabe Da Chicken. Chicken cooked in onion-tomato masala with North Indian spices and yogurt. . It was a delight to enjoy the 🌟Rasmalai and the 🌟Date Halwa Pudding, what a delightful end to a wonderful culinary...
