Top notch food, drinks, and service with an amazing view.
If you are visiting Abu Dhabi and looking for a lovely experience or are a UAE resident looking for a relaxing get-away with great food, drinks, and a beautiful view- this is the place for you. Cho Goa Marina Walk wowed us tonight with a perfect experience from start to finish. Special care was taken by the restaurant to assure we had both a safe and enjoyable experience. Their happy hour special times perfectly with the sunset which you can view over their waterfront terrace overlooking the Marina. Our severs and hosts: Von, Saleh, Melicca, and bartender/mixologist Ryan recommended and delivered tasty dishes and drinks and we felt well taken care of and ate/drank like royalty. For appetizers, we had the Cho Goa Green Salad (fresh and crispy veggies with a nice balance of sweet and tangy dressing), The Chili Shrimp Baa (amazing and large tempura shrimp inside), and the Cho Goa Shrimp Tempura maki roll (so fresh and yummy!). For our main entree we loved the Thai Chicken with Jasmine rice (nice flavors and the perfectly prepared crispy, yet tender chicken paired nicely with the roasted cashews). For dessert we loved the bitter chocolate cake (very rich and satisfying and the combination of the chocolate cake with the raspberry on the side was delicious ). We enjoyed every last bite of our food. Compliments to the chef for curating such wonderful dishes. For our drinks, we loved the craft cocktails such as the bartender, Ryan’s signature raspberry dessert shots (a perfect balance of raspberry puree made fresh in house, grand mariner, vodka, and baileys liquor complete literally with “a cherry on top” ^_^). The comso was the best I have had in Abu Dhabi and the sake was wonderful. We have waited for many months for this restaurant to re-open again since Covid and we are so happy they are back! Thanks for making our night special...
Read moreCho Gao @chogaoabudhabi invited us to try - The Evening Brunch, which can elevate your dining experience with spectacular Pan-Asian Cuisine and mocktails & Cocktails.
You can enjoy your Thursday evening by the marina with an array of starters, main courses and desserts along with free-flowing soft beverages for only AED 149 only and AED 225 for house beverages.
We were amazed by hospitality and service by the staff, they were extremely professional and kind. We started our evening with exotic mocktails and we made sure they were refilled until end of evening..lol.
Pomelo salad was fantastic and full of chicken, prawn, peanuts & coriander, it’s the least boring healthy plate we’ve ever had.
The different maki rolls don’t last long and the signature Cho Gao roll with Prawn Tempura and crab is one of the highlight of the night. Awakening your senses with Sushi platter that are a work of art.
The Beef Rendang is full of tender meat and the midly spiced sauce is super. Paired with the sticky rice it tastes on your jollies in Bali. The Chilli Prawn are delicious too, containing big pieces of shrimp flavoured with the perfect combination of fresh lemongrass and coriander.
We ended our brunch with delicious desserts like Chocolate cake with wasabi and Japanese Cheesecake.
This lively gathering is a top way of starting off the weekend in style.

Read moreDined in on a Wednesday night in January with 3 friends. Overall , a decent time but its definitely a make your own fun kind of place with slightly above average food , mid priced with a nice view of a small marina.
Now the details... Arrived at the door and no one was there to greet us . We showed ourselves in and sat ourselves at a table outside at the weather was amazing .
A pleasant young lady came over and brought 3 menus for the 4 of us . The table was set with only one pair of cutlery for the 4 of us. A bit strange .
We ordered appetisers ourselves after asking for suggestions for sharing and got no where because "everything was amazing " - allegedly...
Appetisers We ordered the mixed vegetable tempura which only had 2 shrimps, 2 unagi , one broccoli and lots of bell peppers. If you know tempura, that's the worse veggie to include ... 1 out of 5 for this .
We also ordered the dynamo shrimp - pretty standard but good .. 4 out of 5
The thai curries were good not amazing ..I'd give a 3.5 out of 5 .
Desert was a trio creme brulee ( not very pan asian) but decent ...3 out of 5
Waiting time was fine .
On account of the unhelpful staff and only slightly above average food , I would choose somewhere else for my next Asian...
