I went to this place based on my previous positive experience, this was one of my best destinations for classy seafood festives, unfortunately this time I was so disappointed.
We arrived with on a 20 minutes notice, the staff gave us a nice table outside, then we started ordering. The waiter forgot one of our orders and clearly didn't know the restaurant menu well.
She was confused on cooking methods. Hummus iwas the first to arrive while Fatoush Salad came late after the main course.
The vegetables in the bar weren't fresh at all.
Mussels were overcooked, lobsters came unevenly cooked. Mushrooms were burnt.
The Hummus, Fatoush, and the fried fish were good. Bread was fresh and soft.
Tahini sauce was very light and limey.
The manager came and oppologised for the mishap. He was nice and tried to fix things. Generously removed all items we weren't satisfied with off the bill.
Despite the generous gesture, I feel it is never enough when your experience is ruined in the presence of overseas guests.
Being fair and knowing this was an exception to a better performance I gave it a 4 stars review. If I didn't know this place before I would have given them a 2 stars review only.
I still advise you to give it a try, if you feel the waiter is comfused, talk to the manager and I am sure he will fix things before...
Read moreAmazing food, exceptional Service Yesterday my girlfriend and I checked in at the Intercontinental and went straight for a tour around the restaurants, while all looked great we couldn't finished it and had dinner at the fish market. At first we just wanted to have starters but the team convinced us with a grandparentslike and honest friendliness for the better. We had kingfish lovly medium rare tuna and the true hero grilled juicy scallops. Everything to our very liking with some Thai style sauces and vegetables on the side plus fried rice (I am very sorry we barely touched) and Phat Thai. The 2h Dinner has been a great welcome to Abu Dhabi. Though we have been to several TripAdvisor top rated 5 star and boutique hotels in Thailand Indonesia, Africa, Europe ,... this place really impressed me. I am a 29year old german Dentist who loves Thai and French cuisine in tohe St. Maxime( La Reserve)/ St. Tropez area worked as a function waiter at the Sydney opera house back in the days. Having the staff enjoying you enjoying the food drinks and the whole dinner, though it should be a given in the hospitality branch, is exceptional and we are so happy to have felt that yesterday. Not only to Camal but not to leave him unmentioned, thank you for your great joy and...
Read moreAfter reading reviews about this restaurant, we decided to indulge in delicious seafood. However, we were greatly disappointed. The food was served cold, with snails and octopus being heated over an open flame. We waited for the food for about 40 minutes, freezing on the outdoor terrace without any offered blankets until I asked. Despite ordering a substantial amount of food, there were no napkins, plates for bones and shells, and utensils were not replaced. Eating from a single dish filled with bones and waste was uncomfortable and aesthetically displeasing. I wanted to capture the restaurant on video and take photos, but a waiter approached and inexplicably said it wasn't allowed, which I found very odd. The waiter lacked tact, and overall, the experience drastically soured. The only positive note from management was that we complained about the shrimp being overcooked, and they were not included in the bill. The food was not tasty, and as a seafood enthusiast who frequently dines out, the chefs at this establishment do not know how to properly cook seafood. P.S. I forgot to mention that the vegetables were well-prepared, and the...
