So I had high expectations for this place based on what others, not ramen aficionados, had told me.
So I visited and asked for their best seller. The spicy miso ramen. That is what I had.
Now I am going to give a summary for those who don’t want to read the whole review:
Is the food good? Yes.
Is it great? No.
Is it worth the 88 dirhams a bowl? Hah. Not at all.
And that will be the main aspect of the low score here. Is what you get on par with what you pay? We all want good quality and a fair portion. But it needs to match the asking price.
The first thing one notices is the portion is small. It is served in a weird shaped bowl. Not what you would expect a bowl of ramen to look like. Looks aside, its small.
The protein is ground beef. Which is usually cheaper than a proper cut of meat. Aside from that the amount of ground meat is so little. I would be interested to know how many grams of ground meat is in the bowl. Keep in mind that ground mean is typically 10-30% fat. So you really are not getting much meat. Again, what is the 88 dirhams going towards if not the meat? (Probably the expensive mall rent)
The broth is good but too spicy. 20% less spicy would be optimal. The server offered to have the “spice” (I assume a paste) in the side but then my review would be on myself.
The noodles were about 10% too undercooked.
The half boiled egg was cold. Which is forgivable in a 40 dirham bowl of ramen.
The fact is that the same bowl could probably return a good profit if sold for 50 or 55 dirhams. And at that price the shortcomings are more forgivable.
But for 88 there are many other choices in Yas Mall that offer high quality and a better product and a better value.
The service was good. The pricing strategy and small tidbits are what let this place down. Not the people.

Read moreI recently visited SLRP Ramen at Yas Mall and had a satisfying experience. The place has a modern, clean vibe with a casual setup that’s great for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner after shopping. The menu offers a nice variety of ramen and sides, with a focus on bold flavors and good-quality ingredients.
I went for the Wagyu Ramen, and it definitely stood out. The broth was rich and full-bodied, packed with umami and just the right amount of depth. The wagyu slices were tender, juicy, and melted in the mouth — a great contrast to the perfectly chewy noodles. The ramen was topped with a soft-boiled egg, spring onions, and a few other garnishes that added texture and flavor without overpowering the dish.
Service was quick and friendly, and the staff seemed knowledgeable about the menu. The food came out hot and well-presented, which is always appreciated. Portion size was just right — enough to be filling without feeling too heavy.
Overall, SLRP at Yas Mall is a solid choice if you’re craving a good bowl of ramen in Abu Dhabi. I’d definitely go back to try some of their other options, but the Wagyu Ramen is a...
Read moreI am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at slrp on today. I came to Slrp for ramen, having been craving it so bad, especially since I am currently pregnant. I checked the restaurant's timings before heading there, and it clearly stated that you close at 11:00 PM on Sundays. However, when I arrived at around 10:10 PM, I was informed that the kitchen was already closed and they couldn't take my order. Despite explaining that I had come all the way to Yas Mall specifically for Slrp and that I was pregnant and desperately craving ramen, the staff showed no understanding or willingness to accommodate my situation. It was extremely upsetting and unprofessional that my circumstances were not respected, and no effort was made to satisfy my craving. I left the restaurant feeling deeply disappointed and upset! As a previously loyal customer, I am saddened to say that after this experience, I have no intention of returning. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and that you address the issues with your staff's attitude and adherence to the stated...
