We recently visited Tuktuk Thai Restaurant on Salam Street, Abu Dhabi. Our friends highly recommended the restaurant.
We started with the Papaya Salad with Shrimps. The dish was fresh and vibrant, with the perfect balance of spicy, sour, and salty flavors, complemented by the juicy shrimps.
My husband enjoyed the Green Curry with Chicken. The curry had a rich, aromatic base, packed with the deep, earthy flavors of Thai spices. The chicken was tender, and the dish was perfectly spiced. Paired with jasmine rice, it made for a comforting main dish.
I ordered the Chicken with Cashews. This dish combined tender chicken with crunchy cashews, in a savory sauce that was subtly sweet with a hint of spice.
For drinks, we had the Cha Thai Payom—a Thai iced tea that was wonderfully sweet and creamy, making it the perfect pairing for the spicier dishes.
Overall, the meal was delicious and well-executed. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, with attentive service. However, the downside of Tuktuk is the small space, advance booking is recommended. Additionally, parking is paid, which could be an inconvenience for some diners.
Our total bill came to around 150 Dhs for two people, would be good if Fazaa discount is...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Tuk Tuk, a Thai restaurant located downtown, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was charming, with a cozy yet vibrant feel that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The service was excellent—our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
For the food, I ordered the cashew chicken and pad see ew, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The pad see ew had perfectly cooked noodles with a wonderful texture, accompanied by well-prepared vegetables that added a nice crunch. The balance of flavors was just right, with a rich and slightly sweet sauce that complemented the dish beautifully. The cashew chicken was another highlight—it had a deep, flavorful sauce with a slight sweetness and a nice crunch from the cashews. While it didn’t come with rice, the dish stood well on its own and was absolutely delicious.
Overall, Tuk Tuk is a fantastic spot for Thai cuisine. The combination of great food, a welcoming ambiance, and excellent service makes it a place I’d definitely return to. Highly...

I order Thai steam chicken rice, mussel papaya salad and the drink.. I received my chicken rice but didn't received my drink and salad until I finish my meal. Restaurant not busy and I keep looking the services might they will delivery my order even late but unfortunately there is some guest came after me received their drinks and order, the situation make me feel more annoying. I called the waiter who served me and asking the bill. I told the guy I order drink and salad to you but didn't arrived and I saw to him my empty plate and the waiter said he will make it now.. But I told him I don't need anymore since I have to go and wait for long time. Is not look good when you not expected to eat your main course without drinks and salad. Food was good but the Indian waiter I guess he need to learn more how to follow up the customer order not just taking my order and looking at me pretanding...
