Oaks Liwa Executive Suites — Hotel in Abu Dhabi

I really enjoyed staying here even though it was only for two nights. Reception was efficient and the staff and security officer treated me with courtesy and respect, the old fashioned way. The building is not in its youth anymore, but that’s not a criticism. The reception area, lifts, corridors and suite are very well looked after and maintained. The room/suite was spotless and very clean with good amenities including a microwave oven, toaster, fridge, washing machine and small built in stove. In fact, it’s similar to a serviced apartment. The floor space is ample with separate areas for the kitchen, sitting room, bedroom, bathroom and WC. The air conditioning worked without fault. Separate parking is provided underground. Again, the concierge was most helpful in letting me in and out of the parking. The hotel is well located. Abu Dhabi mall is no more than 4-5 minutes walk away and two pedestrian crossings take you quickly over the roads to the mall. There are several fast food (local) and mid range restaurants around as well as small convenience stores and pharmacies. All this is within easy walking distance. I did not use the gym, but found a local gym only three minutes walk away. I just love these type of local gyms. No F••ness F••st hype. The hotel is quiet and peaceful. The reception is quiet and peaceful. The neighbourhood is established with no building work close by. Hence, albeit in the middle of the city, it feels quiet and peaceful! I want to mention that the bed was very good. I slept well and finally I want to thank the staff again. There is pride in your work. No amount of crystal chandeliers and marble staircases...

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for one night to utilize the washer/dryer and it ended up being the worst place we’ve stayed in. We checked in around 5pm and started doing laundry, 7 hours later the clothes were not yet dry. We left it in the dryer overnight, and the clothes still did not dry. We were only able to sleep a few hours and when we charged our phone, there was a circuit break and the bathroom lights and the washer turned off. We were unable to use the outlet while simultaneously using the bathroom lights and the washer/dryer which was useless to us at that point. We were moved to another room around 7am only to find that there is no drying option, only spinning. We ended up leaving with wet clothes and poor services in a less than average hotel. We asked to speak to a manager which they mentioned he is out on holiday and when we insisted they said he had an emergency, we were promised a call back which was we never received. The manager Mr. JIBIN BABY doesn't know how to entertain the guests. He is very rude. He made me pay for a bath mat saying that we damage it because there is a stain from it. I brought it home and wash it. It is not damage, the stain from it was removed. He didn't even say sorry for not providing us bathrobe. He just keep saying that they don't have stock. He is getting mad us when we are complaining to him. Very bad attitude. He should be train again. All other receptionist are nice and accomodating. Rooms are good, I book five rooms. The problem occurs when we check out and he started to tell us that we should pay for the bath mat and a towel. He said a towel was missing. How will we know that it's really missing? Bathrobes are not provided, so how sure are we that the towels are complete when we check in? Anyways, he is really rude talking to us. Even when he gave me his calling card his actions is...
