We arrived pretty late, around midnight and were welcomed with a warm smile and quickly checked in by Abhinav, Alena and Thea. We stayed on the 4th floor with connecting rooms 410 (2 single bed) and 411 (King bed). This floor also has dedicated family rooms. This worked out great for a family of four. Beds were big and super comfortable. Key-Cards can be temperamental, and best advised to keep away from mobile phones. This is important as lifts can only be accessed via the Key-Card.The conditions of the room were generally good and kept spotlessly clean by Lila. Each room is supplied with two bottles of mineral water every day by the housekeeping team. The guest relations manager gave us a call in the morning to make sure we were comfortable – nice touch and appreciated. The hotel WiFi is excellent achieving download speeds of 25Mbps and uploads of 13Mbps. There is limited parking in basement, accessed via car lift. Mostly permit holder parking in streets around the hotel so be careful not to park outside. Half board comes with a good selection buffet for breakfast, juices are weak carton concentrates. Fixed A-la-Carte menu in the Sura restaurant for dinner that does include juices and bottled water. Generally good food and service from the F&B team. Limited vegetarian choices and soup of the day is usually Lentils. V-Jay (F&B team) in the restaurant is a STAR, and always took real good care of us. KM Hypermarket (Open till late) is just a few mins walk down the road and is full of all the usual superstore stuff and has a nice hot food section too. Convenient for getting snacks/food for picnics and lunches. The Abu Dhabi Mall is only a ten minute walk away. There is also a mosque a few minutes walk away. The swimming pool on tenth floor is adjacent to the Fillipino Night Club Bar (Vector), small, but usually empty during day so does not get over crowded. Overall an enjoyable, comfortable stay with warm, friendly staff, great central location, just be careful about...
Read moreFeb 9, 2025 (11:30 AM)- have just checked out from Hotel Ramada downtown Abu Dhabi and now on the way to Dubai. Just realised that the staff didn’t ask for the feedback at the counter but i think the feedback form was there in the room where we didn’t mark anything. We were in rush and missed providing the same , though we were having a few major things to say about the stay:
ROOMS: quite spacious and clean BUT the AC was not working. We spent the whole night without cool air (even after calling the reception during midnight and no doubt the technician made a couple of visits to the room , even in the morning but not worth it).
WASHROOMS: Clean and good quality toiletries BUT one major point here - the water temperature was so high that it was not easy to bear with it so we called for help. They tried doing something and gave explanation but nothing worked out. We somehow managed. In one of the washrooms there was a leakage where the plumber fixed the problem and then it was fine. We were provided with extra floor mats , etc after asking , so good with it.
HOSPITALITY: Very good, always at the door to help whenever a call was made BUT we faced multiple problems that it was very frustrating to reach out to them for each and everything!
This is the same story for both the rooms we booked!
FOOD (M floor) was really good at taste though not so authentic dishes but definitely worth it. Variety to order from ala carte and buffet (breakfast) too. Happy with this.
OVERALL the expectation was definitely high from Ramada. They really need to do the maintenance on regular basis and work on permanent fixes to each problem being faced by the customers.
DEFINITELY will never book this place in future as we didn’t gain any confidence from the fixes made especially to set room air temperature and the...

We booked a Deluxe King Room for March 21, 2025 (Booking #4842283189) in Ramada downtown Hotel. While the hotel does have a parking garage, it was unfortunately not functional during our stay.
I arrived at 8:30 PM, and the concierge assisted me in parking my car in a non-residential zone. However, when my husband arrived later at 11:30 PM, we requested the same support to find a parking spot. The staff informed us that it was too late and that it is difficult to find parking after 11 PM, advising us to find one ourselves.
Being new to Abu Dhabi, we were unfamiliar with the strict residential parking zones. My husband unknowingly parked in a residential area where signage was poorly placed (Far away) and easy to miss. As a result, the car was towed and fined, costing us 700 AED to retrieve it from a impound 4 km away.
This unfortunate situation could have been avoided if the hotel had provided proper assistance or if their parking facility was operational. While the room itself was good, the lack of support left a lasting negative impression, which is why I am giving only 1 star.
During checkout, we raised this issue. The staff said they only provide valet parking for one car per room—which is understandable. However, what was frustrating is that no one guided us or mentioned that there were blue lines at the parking lot entrance indicating permissible areas. This information was only told to us the next morning when we raised the concern, which could have helped us avoid the fine and towing in the first place
Suggestions for the hotel:
Please fix your parking garage to avoid inconvenience to guests. Ensure your staff provides parking assistance regardless of the time, especially for guests unfamiliar with local...
