We celebrated my birthday at GALA, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. While the restaurant leans towards the pricier side, the exceptional quality of the food and service made it worthwhile. The atmosphere was vibrant, perhaps a bit brighter than typical dining spots, but I found it quite appealing. It’s an ideal venue for parties, intimate gatherings, or family celebrations. Now, let’s talk about the food. Without diving into the creative names of their fusion dishes, I’ll simply say we enjoyed both tomato and sweet corn soups, each uniquely crafted and absolutely delicious. They were thick, allowing the flavors of the ingredients to shine through. The Broccoli Walnut tikki was also a delightful addition. For the main course, we opted for Rollard Paneer Makhani, Dal Makhani, and Tandoori Rotis. The presentation of the Paneer was innovative and it tasted fantastic. The rotis were satisfying, though I felt the Dal Makhani could have had a more authentic Punjabi touch. The rich, claypot flavor that comes from slow-cooked dal was somewhat lacking. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful dining experience overall. The highlight was undoubtedly the beautifully presented Rasmalai Tres Leches, my complimentary birthday cake, which truly elevated our celebration to a five-star level. A special shoutout to our server and culinary guide, Julesh, who was outstanding. He patiently recommended dishes and addressed all our questions. I am writing a Review for an Abu Dhabi restaurant after years and , I felt compelled only to express my gratitude to Julesh. In summary, it was a...
Read moreThis was my second visit to Gala, and I must say the food tasted much better than my first visit. The first time, it was overly salty and definitely not at a gourmet level, but this time it was really enjoyable.
I would have happily given 5 stars, but I’m disappointed with the way the restaurant handled their promotional offer. They are currently running a “Roll the Dice” promotion: • Roll one six with a single die → 50% discount. • Roll double sixes with two dice → 100% discount. • Conditions: one-time only, cannot be combined with other offers.
My 4-year-old was excited to roll, so we let him try with one die. To everyone’s surprise, he rolled a six on the very first attempt! Instead of celebrating the win with us, the staff looked completely shocked and hesitant. In the end, they ignored the offer and simply applied our Fazza discount of 15%.
We even told them politely: “If you don’t want to honor the 50%, we can just stick with the Fazza discount—it’s fine.” But what was upsetting was that not a single staff member stood by the rules of their own promotion.
Honestly, if a restaurant can’t keep its word on promotional offers, it’s better not to run them at all. Promotions should create joy and memories for families, not leave them disappointed. Gala had the chance to make our visit truly memorable, but instead it felt like they only wanted to “win”...
Read moreFood was lovely and unique however quite salty overall. Ordered the crispy nadru which was super unique and delicious however on the salty side. The Desi paneer bhurji tacos was nothing spectacular and the flavors were average at best. For mains we ordered the Zucchini kofta which was delicious however quite salty. The tandooori roti was the most disappointing as you would expect a restaurant that markets themselves as fine dining to have soft rotis however were quite chewy and did not taste all that great. The paneer spinach kulcha were more like bite sized starters instead of an actual kulcha and were again on the salty side. However the most disappointing aspect of the restaurant was the service. The staff seemed to be uninterested when we were ordering and asking questions about the menu. Moreover if a restaurant markets themselves as “fine dining” you would expect a little bit more effort from the staff when the food arrives regarding what the dish is and the way it is served. Overall a good new addition to the existing Indian...
