A Disappointing Dining Experience

I had the misfortune of dining at Bistro Novanta, an Italian restaurant that failed to impress. The service was abysmal, with staff seemingly disinterested in our table's needs. We arrived at the restaurant and there was no staff in sight. One staff had a glimpse of us and instead of immediately coming to greet us, disappeared in sight. During dinner, you have to flag the staff all the time or wait for them to show up. With 3 tables/6 diners, the staff were MIA all the time.

The organic white wine I ordered arrived at my table warm and despite of me returning it more than once and asking them to chill it properly and serve in correct temperature, they kept bringing it back to my table warm :(((

Aside from the focaccia bread, the food was a complete letdown. All I could taste is sweet from my starter which was octopus to my main course which was supposed to be pasta in lobster bisque but more of a sweet tomato sauce with undercooked rigatoni which I also returned. Al dente is different from undercooked!

Their dish presentation looks good. However, the dishes we ordered were really unimpressive and poor in terms of flavor and quality. The pasta was not only undercooked, the sauce lacked depth. I ended up with an indigestion from my dinner, mainly from the pasta and probably frustration (without exaggeration).

The decor is chic yet they share toilet with the swimming pool which was quite smelly and untidy. The staff lack attention to details and product knowledge.

Overall, my experience at Bistro Novanta was a disappointment. With subpar food and service.

Having been in the F&B, hospitality and food safety and hygiene for years, my experience here, especially with the staff is unacceptable. With all their shortcomings, not even once did they apologized nor offered/suggested any alternative.
