Brunch & Cake City Centre Mirdif — Restaurant in Dubai

The place does have a very cozy and inviting ambience, something that welcomes you when you happen to glance by the place. Gently alluring and beckoning you to come and sample their food.

Ordered the English breakfast and a Chai latte. The breakfast was delicious and the star of that platter was the huge slice of bacon that was simply fabulous. While many English breakfast spreads give a sliver of bacon or laxer thin slices of nearly burnt to crisp bacon; this was such a great treat. You only truly appreciate the amount of meat when you unfurl the roll that’s tucked neatly in the platter. Delicious!

The other accompanying items including the sour dough bread, eggs, sausages, portobello mushrooms, halloumi cheese, hash browns, baked beans and avocado were standard. But then again, the bacon !

The Chai latte didn’t disappoint either. It had the right amount of sweetness and cinnamon hints to it. Nothing overdone, just right and the creamy froth didn’t taste much different from the liquid under it. This was a good things as many of the other places, the served froth tastes much different to the actual beverage. So 10/10 for the Chai latte and yes the bacon too !

We have visited the Brunch n cake multiples times (3 times at Jumeriah branch) and twice at the Mirdiff branch.

I’m not sure if they had a change in the chef or the food suppliers - but dear god the food level had dropped like 95% from their usual.

The pulled beef was sooo dry and felt old! I had asked for runny egg/ medium cooked (I specified both because I wanted my eggs semi cooked) what I got was fully cooked eggs! 🤦‍♀️ I wish I had taken a picture once cut but was too depressed to do so.

The avocado had started going bad and had spots… I wouldn’t mind that if it was some mediocre restaurant… but this was Brunch n Cake.

There was only 2-3 waiters around and this did cause certain imminent delays.

ALSO- we paid 24 AED for refilled water in a glass bottle - which we weren’t allowed to take! - upset about that too… (I know it may seem petty - but still… didn’t feel fair charging me 24 AED for filtered water! 🥹)
