Hitchki served us a real gastronomical meal in a big and plush seating area, colorfully decorated surroundings and awesome food quality to match with smiling and very helpful staff.
This place deserves a 5 star rating for presentation and innovative names of dishes. It was so amusing and surprising for me to see the variety of names and how each dish was served and plated. If you are looking for a place that serves modern Indian, visually appealing and delectable food then Hitchki is just the perfect spot.
Professional and Friendly staff, warmed welcome by Noor who was quite courteous, helpful and proactive. We tried a lot of things here and will explain each below:
Mocktails: Palm island - coconut milk, basil and pineapple mix cocktail which was exquisite, loved the presentation of the overall drink , as the name the drink was served in a coconut placed on a tray with crushed lotus biscuits that gives it a touch of real beach and it was well presented.
Pea Tea Usha – A Pea Tea Ice Blob, ginger ale & Hitchki’s Sweet & Sour mix. Amazing find and one of the BEST & UNIQUE Mocktails ever tried. The Pea Tea Usha was infused with liquid nitrogen in the bottom glass which made a smokey entry and its color changed in a few moments while I sipped it.
Twix Dhamaka: Served in a rose gold glass the presentation was on point and the taste was simply delicious, kids will love it.
Falooda Freakshake: The Royal Falooda and the milkshake in one delightful combination served with a delicious kulfi stick. We really enjoyed the flavors of sabza seeds, nuts and rose syrup.
Starters:
H&H: The Hitchki Hummus and I must say the best creamy hummus I’ve ever had in Dubai. It was served in a tusk shaped beautiful dish with Labneh swirls having flavors of sumac and zaatar, loaded with pine nuts and cute falafel popsicles. I highly recommend this one.
Pav Bhaji cone: The presentation was so cute with the crispy ajwain samosa cones stuffed with pav bhaji filling, pomegranate kernels and nylon sev, which was rightly spiced and the cone was crisp and flaky.
Jhalmudi Guacamole: This was a perfect fusion of Indo-Mexican flavors. Bhel and puffed rice lavash served with mushy avocadoes, pomegranate kernels and nylon sev. A very crunchy and savory dish will definitely satisfy your tastebuds.
Main Course: Chongs Burmese Curry – Creamy and rich khow suey curry with steamed vermicelli nest and fried vegetables. This coconut base curry was made in an amazing way and we could not resist the creaminess and crunchiness of the dish. You have to try this one here.
Kadhai Paneer Lasagna: This dish had round paneer tikka sheets with Kadhai sabzi ratatouille and was served with cheese garlic naan. A perfect main course dish for all those paneer lovers.
Desserts:
Baklava 2.0: The crispy puff and that frozen fresh petals with mouthwatering gulkand ice cream is just the thing u need after having a great meal. The hydrogenated rose petals added the magical flavor in the overall dish. This dessert had that perfect balance of all flavors and not even a single flavor was overpowering. A must try dessert.
Falooda Milk Cake: Rose flavor Falooda milk cake with malai kulfi ice cream loaded with sabza and caramelized nuts.
Gold Souk: A hand crafted exquisite dessert with a lotus flower, plated with 24k edible gold leaf and drool worthy ingredients like evaporated Malai milk, rose vermicelli, pistachio kulfi, raspberry sorbet, Alphonso mango sorbet, variety of fruits & nuts, saffron pearls and ruby chocolate. This was a gastronomical experience and the show stopper of the night.
Overall the restaurant is just perfect for a date night or a family gathering to enjoy the best food with memorable experience to cherish. I would Highly Recommend it to you all and I am definitely going back for more things to try from the exciting Bollywood filmy menu. So Dine in and treat yourself for a...
Read moreIt is said that “THE BEST PLACE TO VISIT IS THE ONE WHERE YOU MAKE MEMORIES!!” and we made an awesome memory last night when we visited the “TALK of the TOWN” - HITCHKI. And IN SHORT, this is by far the BEST MODERN INDIAN dining place we have visited in Dubai. Right from the ambience of the restaurant to the service, to the people, to the crowd, to the FOOD, to the PRESENTATION, to the CONCEPT, HITCHKI is THE BEST!! Hats off to the chef & the servers who made our evening so special. We tried a LOOOOOT of things here and will explain each below: MOCKTAILS Vegan Freak Shake – A combination of vegan coconut milk, peanut butter & fruits dressed to perfection!!! A must try here for the unique taste The Ultimate freak Shake – everything that you can think of inside a shake! Chocolate, M&Ms, peanuts, marshmallow, cotton candies, cookies. OMG!!! Its like a meal in itself. Another MUST TRY!! Pea Tea Usha – A Pea Tea Ice Blob, ginger ale & Hitchki’s Sweet & Sour Mix!!! What a combination and presentation!! The more you keep, the more it gets dissolving. Amazing find and one of the BEST & UNIQUE mocktails ever tried. Kuch Khatti / Kuch Meethi – another unique combination of Tamarind, Melon & Cranberry! Can be ordered as a pallet changer! STARTERS BFF Dim Some – By far the best Dim Sims tried in Dubai!! Served in an authentic way and full of flavor and taste! These are served with 3 drips which have their own unique taste and best in their own way. Bread ka Badshah – a sindhi style masala covered on the bread. The platter is then topped with cheese. What an amazing combination of taste, flavors & cheese. A MUST TRY!! Classic Cheese Fondue – we loved the combination of 4 best cheese in this fondue. It is served with pesto coated bread pieces and the combination is AWESOME!!! The black pot used to serve the dish is very classy.
MAINS Chongs Burmese Curry – Creamy and rich khow suey curry with steamed vermicelli nest and fried vegetables. We generally donot like coconut based gravy, but this one was made in an amazing way and we could not resist the creaminess and crunchiness of the dish. You have to try this one here. Paneer Ale Lababdar – this paneer gravy was one of the best tried in Dubai. A complete no nonsense dish wish straight paneer sabzi and amazing kulchas. They even served us roomali roti with us which was HEAVEN! DESSERTS The Shoe Maker – 4 different flavored Choux Pastry (Hazelnut, chocolate, pista, berry) served in an old Mumbai style cobbler box. This is served with edible chocolate mouse. The most unique and never seen before style of serving dessert. It takes a 100% efforts to make this wonderful dish and we recommend this 200% iPIE – the newly launched dessert which has its unique way of serving. This is a straight apple pie with cinnamon flavor. A warm pie served inside the crumbliest yet melting in the mouth base. This was really awesome and presented under an iPhone case. What a great concept. Overall for us it was one memorable evening and thanks to Ms. Preeti for arranging this for us. Hitchki is definitely going on our MUST RECOMMENDED list in Dubai and we are planning to celebrate our next special...
