Portions are humongous for a fair price. But, but, there are some issues with the amount of salt they are putting into their dishes, they are all oversalted unfortunately. Plus we were there quite late and the last worker who was in the restaurant and parcelled our food has taken it to the back of the house for quite some time and then he has given us teeny tiny parcels, less than a half of what we have given him to pack. Don't know if he spilled it there or taken it for his own dinner or to feed cats... Because first he has brought empty packaging to the table and expected us to transfer it ourselves, but when he has registered that we have left quite a lot, he has offered to pack it in the back. Just weird. Generally he was polite and when we came to the restaurant, he was himself eating smth in the back, but can't guess if he needed more food for later on or wanted to feed cats or smth, but it's weird to parcel that less for the customer when he leaves quite a significant portion of the food untouched. It's just uncanny and as you are already having it packed, what can you complain about right, you won't be arguing with him that we have given you more to pack. Don't...
Read moreWhat an interesting restaurant. Found it by chance and decided to try. Lots of menu items to choose from. They will serve you a complimentary Egg Drop Soup before delivering your order (it could use more salt and pepper, though). First impression, the price is average, but cheaper than the more established restaurant like Din Tai Fung. I ordered Seaweed Salad and Vermicelli Noodles with Shrimp. The portion is gigantic it was shocking, I was barely able to finish it. Taste was okay nothing too stands out. If you eat a lot then this place is perfect for you, considering their big portion. I think it's good if you come with a small group and order your items to share. There's a nice area outside and I can see it will be a nice place to hangout once the...
Read moreA much welcome addition of an authentic Chinese restaurant in JLT.
The dishes I tried were well prepared - for those who want "everyday" mainland Chinese dishes. The prices are good for what's on offer and there's a reasonable variety.
There's indoor tables and booths, as well as Al fresco dining at the front, suitable for dining alone through to larger groups. Dishes are more so geared towards sharing, but still manageable dining alone with certain dishes on offer or if you have a good appetite. However, they also have a business lunch special menu with a selection of meals on offer for affordable prices (generally including a main with rice/noodles and a soup).
Great for those in JLT looking for authentic...
