Asian Cuisine always been my preference over any other. When I found out about this amazing food whole serving various Asian Couzines under one roof, I was really excited to try the food . The Streetery Food hall is in Cluster D in JLT. And there is one roof they have three separate kitchens called Zen, Hing Kee & Fat Aunts. To place our order we need to select the dish & its quantity in the questionnaire type menu.
Are you started by or trying the lemongrass drink. The drink was very refreshing and had a cooling affect.
Then we tried the Thai Papaya Salad with shrimp And it reminded me of the Thai salad I tried in London. Then we had there are chicken steamed wontons which will serve the soy based sauce and I was amazed on how well balanced and well prepared the dish was.
I also really like the batter fried prawns served with diced and sautéed peppers, peppercorns and onions. The pronto butter is a show was on point and the cake of peppercorns made the dish really appetising.
My husband is a big fan of the Malaysian Chicken Curry served with but Parantha. So he ordered one portion of that and wasn’t expecting the portion size to be for is elite three people. He gave me a big thumbs up on the flavoured balance of the curry. He really liked how well seasoned the curry was and wasn’t very spicy.
Nextep was one of my favourite dishes of the meal which was the Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce.
My son loves noodles but only likes egg and garlic in them. The Fact that he wiped out half plate of the massive portion self to him is enough to tell you how good they ever.
The Chicken Potstickers served with Spicy Sriracha sauce were the best I have had in Dubai. They were well seasoned, perfectly sticky and the sauce was out of this world.
There Fried Chicken with Tangy Lemon and Pepper seasoning word fright to perfection which means that they were Crispy from the outside and soft and juicy from the inside. I am personally not a big fan of fried chicken but I have had the Asian style fried chicken in the past and I absolutely loved it. These were the perfect example of culinary excellence.
My husband loves Pad Thai Noodles. He always orders them with chicken and extra spice whenever he gets an option. I also like the flavour but I can do without them as welk. Although my husband liked the pad thai here but David not to my taste.
The Hot Basil Beef With sticky rice and fried bag was my favourite In the main course. I love sticky rice and the beef had the right amount of sauce, salt and fresh basil to go with the sticky rice.
I will so try at the Hong Kong noodles where I could choose my own base, sauce and ingredients. I went for the fried tofu with egg noodles, some vegetables in Sriracha Sauce with Chicken Broth. I personally wasn’t a big fan of the flavour probably because the spiciness of the Soz got diluted it because of the broth.
For deserts I try their shaved Ice with set up and fruits and there is water chestnuts with coconut milk. Out of the two I loved the Water Chestnut with coconut milk Because the shaved ice desert was too sweet for me.
The service was fast and the manager was there to assist us all through our meal.

Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at Streetery after a very long time & I’m to report that it has improved their food quality/ taste whilst maintaining their prices. The staff was very kind and attentive, had a vast knowledge of the menu. It’s always delightful to see when restaurants maintain their standards over the years. We started with satay prawns ( they can be ordered in 2/4/6 options ) they weren’t heavily spiced and were juicy. Streetery does their drinks in house, order the lemon grass & the hibiscus , thank me later. Later on, we had some Schezwan dumplings; which is one of their award winning dishes, accompanied by Korean BBQ Wings, also had these Prawns that were loaded with crispy fried garlic, Can’t remember the name but they’re surely recommended. Prawn Laksa, with tofu and flat noodles; this & their flat noodles ( or pad thai ) with chicken are my absolute favorites & i’m happy to report they tasted great. Order a portion of Pak Choy or any other vegetables cause they’re tossed in delicious sauce & make a great side dish with any protein. For mains we had the Beef Chilli with vegetable fried rice( flavorful juicy beef ) & Hainanese Chicken, which comes with broth on the side. Lastly but most importantly order the thai mango but if you’re un lucky like me and it’s not available as it’s subject to mango availability order the water chestnuts, this traditional thai dessert will cool you down & your taste buds too. Highly recommended, park in cluster E, it’s just...
Read moreStreetery has always been a go-to favourite for my friends and I. Much to my disappointment the quality of food and service has gone down drastically over the last couple of months. While their Asian food is good, with some hits and misses, it is their service that really upset us today. Most of us are vegetarian and so we ordered vegetarian dishes, and in one of them we found a small piece of chicken, the manager dismissed it by saying it is tofu. After a while, we found another piece and this time around we were confident it is not tofu. The manager again refused to admit it was meat and kept insisting it is tofu. Regardless of what it may have been, there was not a single apology from the team, and no offer to replace the dish either. Good customer service in these situations is extremely important no matter who is right or wrong. It was highly disappointing to see such a popular restaurant lack the basic service of making their regular clients feel comfortable. A similar incident took place a while ago where we found a strand of hair in our food, and the waiter simple said "okay" stared it and went about his regular business. Even though we enjoy Streetery's food, this incident has put us off. Needless to say, we won't be going back for a while.
Additional Note: The manager Upasana contacted us and apologized for the entire situation. We were invited back for a meal and the experience was much better this time around. I appreciate the effort made this time to rectify...
