Delhi Darbar Karama - Mumbai's Best Biryani — Restaurant in Dubai

The renowned Mumbai based restaurant chain has its branches located in Al Barsha, Karama and Barsha Branch. We visited the Zabeel Road - Karama branch where the ambience was very royal and the staff was very welcoming.

Mutton cutlets were completely filled with mutton along with the right ingredients was very tasty. This took me back to the iftar meal memories!

🔯Roomali Rolls 🌯

Roomali roti along with stuffed grill chicken and mayo was very yummy. Indian version of shawarma!

Dynamite Shrimps were very fresh, crisp and tasty ! Served in the classic cone shaped container.

All type of grills which included paneer,mutton sheek, reshmi kabab, tandoori chicken and other various types of grill was mouth watering. One of the best Grill platter in Dubai. The ingredients are overlooked by the Brand owner himself.

A lip-smacking chicken curry without bones was very creamy and tasty. Every Indian will be proud of this dish and Delhi Darbar has the best version of it.

Prawns Masala gravy was very much flavourful with prawns in it and amazing at the same time. Very much beyond expectation.

This included all types of rotis like Reshmi paratha, roomali roti,tandoori roti, Garlic naan, butter roti, lachedar paratha etc. All of the rotis were very soft and freshly served.

An aromatic Mutton Biryani garnished with mint and brown onions was saporous. Delhi Darbar’s Signature dish!

This is one of their signature dish which was very flavourful and yummy. This is their newest dish and definitely a MUST TRY!

💥💥𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗥 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 & 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 !! Why? Once in, i visited the restroom for a quick hand wash. The handwash area looked ill kept with some non functioning fittings.

I ignored that as many places are yet to realize the importance of a CLEAN & HYGENIC bathroom within a restaurant(Never miss this today's MINIMUM requirement) . Ooops !! there was no water in the taps !! I stepped out and alerted a staff. They promptly came in, checked & offered a bottle of water. It was nice.

We ordered some starters and main course. The Veg starter(Crispy Veg came in & the Vegetarians were disappointed there was no "Crispiness" whatsoever in what arrived. Upon asking, the service associate was trying to explain why it is usually not crispy with them(then why call it CRISPY Veg?). I was watching and kept quite. He could do nothing about it and we continued. The Main course arrived while we were still waiting for the Non Veg starter : Pahadi chicken i recall. Upon enquiring the same associate said : It's the Pahadi option and it takes longer time. He seems to have an explanation for every defect !! We still kept quite and later asked him to cancel the Non veg starter. The Rotis that came with the Maincourse, they forgot to have butter on it and upon asking, he promptly took back the rotis to get butter applied to them and bring back. Glad he did not have an explanation why Butter was not there on the Rotis...😅😅 I now felt it was time the Manager needs to know. I got up, quietly went to the reception desk where 2 gentleman were seated. Upon asking who the Manager is, the senior gentleman said : No Manager, we all are there. I explained the entire experience right from the restroom. He was blank and had nothing to say. I went back, enjoyed the rest of the meal and we left. While leaving, make note, they already being aware of all the experience, NOT ONE associate came to see off or assure that the miss-outs were unfortunate blah blah blah...For a medium to lil higher priced menu offering a Dine In experience, they FALL FAR SHORT to today's guest expectations...I hope the OWNER takes note and does something about it, before it is...

Delhi Darbar in Karama, located opposite Karama Post Office, is a restaurant that offers a mixed experience. Accessibility is convenient from anywhere in Dubai, with ample parking available in the front and back. The seating facility is good, with a capacity to comfortably accommodate families of up to 10-12 individuals at one table. However, such tables are limited, and other tables can accommodate up to 7 people.

The restaurant is family-friendly, providing a pleasant atmosphere and a well-mannered but sometimes overloaded staff. The service is generally prompt and attentive. Delhi Darbar offers a wide variety of dishes, including mutton and chicken-based curries, as well as Indian-flavored Chinese dishes. However, while the kababs are outstanding, with their authentic taste, freshness, and juiciness, some of the curries, such as Mutton Karai and Mutton Nihari, do not live up to expectations. It seems that the chef is attempting to offer a unique twist to these traditional dishes, which may not appeal to those seeking an authentic taste.

The overall experience at Delhi Darbar is somewhat mediocre, with a few standout items. The Tawa gost (mutton) is particularly delicious and worth trying. However, it is disappointing that many items mentioned on the menu are not actually served. This inconsistency in availability can be frustrating for diners.

Taking all aspects into consideration, I would give Delhi Darbar a three-star rating for the overall experience. While the restaurant has its highlights, such as the tasty kababs and good seating facilities, the subpar curries and lack of menu items detract from the overall dining experience. Nevertheless, it could still be worth trying once in a while for those seeking a convenient location and a...
