I never thought I'd write a bad review on this restaurant. We generally visit the one is Al Nahda and they are perfect with taste and service. Just everything was bad about our experience. We got their at 10pm on 17th March with my wife, friend and my toddler son. The restaurant was not full neither completely empty. They had a few tables free. As soon as we sat down, the waiter asked us to order, I was taken aback asto he expecting us to order immediately like we knew what we wanted. I anyways ordered the 'apple chicken' which we always take and requested if we could order the rest later. Now I requested for a highchair and another waiter brought a dirty worn-out highchair. I had to ask him to clean it first and then give it to us. Why would he wait for me to ask him that?? Anyways by now we knew what we wanted but couldn't find the waiter to order the same. Finally, we gave an order for some nans, veg curry, chicken curry and a drink. The drink never came, the starter arrived cold, by that time we had one serving of the chicken starter we realised it was cold.. we called the waiter to send it back to heat. They had our main course ready. I was like, why wasn't it sent after we finished our starter. Anyways we sent the starter back to heat the apple chicken and we eat the main course. Food was good according to Sigdi standards. Romali maybe they can do better. Anyways, the started came back pipping hot. But it didn't make sense for us to dig into as we already had our main course. We had left overs of everything. The apple chicken ( 7 pieces), chicken curry, veg curry and naans. Alot of food to make another meal. However, asked them to parcel it and again the wait time. By now my son was sleepy, for which my wife left to the car , my friend and I waited and waited for the parcel and bill. Finally got the parcel in a cover and paid the bill. Left in a hurry as we were quite late. To only realise after we got home to have the wrong parcel. It was the parcel of the Chinese eaten from our next table. Total mismanangement of things, working there with no customer satisfaction focus. Would never step into this...
Read moreGood Food Guaranteed @Sigdi .. "Sigdi" in hindi means Stove in English! In yesteryears when the LPG and electric cooking weren't available to people at that time they were bound to use stove which worked on kerosene, coal or wood fire. When you name your restaurant "SIGDI" that means you are stamping an authenticity in the minds of people who love authentic food. .. Even though describing authenticity with Sigdi is bit complex as they have 2 very different kinds of cuisines, Indian and Chinese. But having said that SIGDI team has done a great job by proving best of both worlds and making food their food quite authentic when it comes to their Indian and Chinese Menu. You can argue and say Chinese served here is bit Desi Chinese and we might agree with you but we have gotta give it to them for being proactive and asking customers if they like their Chinese food spicy. We all know authentic Chinese food isn't that spicy so by doing that they are able to bring the best Chinese for us desi Chinese food lovers. .. The pricing is pretty reasonable and Interior is quite elegant as it gives you those ancient palaces feel . We just loved both Indian and Chinese food from their menu. We were fortunate to have both cuisines. .. We bet you would love their kebabs and be blown away. We tried vegetable seekh kebab and found it very nicely cooked. It was tender and soft from inside and semi hard well cooked from outside. Here is what we ordered: We ordered lemon soda and monchow soup to start with then Veg seekha Kebab, paneer cheese roll and dry munchurian for starters. Then for the main course we ordered Paneer Darbari, Bhindi Do Pyaza and Dal Bukhara. We ordered 4 different breads and burnt chilly garlic rice. Post our meal we had rose lassi and a sizzling brownie which is a must. Well we loved everything we would highly recommend for you to try their Veg Seekh kebab, Dal Bukhara, chilly burnt...
