I recently had the pleasure of dining at Duck & Waffle, and it was truly a memorable experience from start to finish. The first thing that strikes you is the breathtaking view — the restaurant is set high above the city, and whether you go during the day or at night, the panoramic skyline is absolutely stunning. It immediately sets a special atmosphere.

The service was outstanding throughout the evening. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, genuinely friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and ensured that everything arrived on time and exactly as requested.

The food, of course, was the highlight. The signature duck and waffle dish exceeded my expectations — perfectly cooked duck leg paired with a crisp waffle, topped with a fried egg and maple syrup that balanced sweet and savory in the most delicious way. The small plates and starters were also beautifully presented and full of flavor; each dish felt creative but also comforting. Dessert was a perfect ending — light, flavorful, and indulgent without being too heavy.

The service was excellent also with Danica our server, she was helpful and attentive throughout with her recommendations.

We kicked off with the Smoked Salmon Caesar Salad, which was a refreshing twist on the classic. Light yet flavorful, with just the right amount of smokiness and crunch — a great way to start the meal. Of course, we couldn’t visit without trying their signature Duck & Waffle, and it lived up to every expectation. The duck was perfectly cooked — crispy skin, tender meat — and the waffle was golden, fluffy, and slightly sweet, acting as the perfect base. Topped with a fried egg and a rich mustard maple syrup, every bite was indulgent and beautifully balanced. For dessert, we tried the Apple Brioche French Toast and the Custard Tart, and both were showstoppers. Disappointing Experience – Poor Management and Lack of Consideration for Guests

We had high expectations when booking a table at Duck and Waffle Dubai for Saturday at 3 PM, hoping to enjoy a relaxed lunch. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we anticipated.

Upon arrival, we were shocked to find that a massive private party was taking place throughout the entire restaurant. Besides our table, there was only one other group of guests who—like us—had booked in advance, seemingly unaware of the event. The atmosphere was loud, chaotic, and completely inappropriate for anyone looking to enjoy a meal in comfort. We were surrounded by blaring music and an overwhelming crowd, making it nearly impossible to converse or enjoy the setting.

What’s most disappointing is the lack of professionalism from the restaurant’s management. If you know you are hosting a large corporate event that will take over the entire venue, it is simply unacceptable to keep reservations open for regular guests. It shows a clear disregard for the customer experience and puts guests in an incredibly awkward and uncomfortable position.

We left feeling incredibly frustrated and let down. Duck and Waffle Dubai should seriously reconsider how it handles reservations during private events. A simple heads-up or the option to reschedule would have shown basic courtesy. Sadly, we won’t...
