Where do I start. My experience recently at Honeycomb was simply terrible. The staff there were very disorganised and caused constant distress to their customers. Just trying to get in to the restaurant with a reservation is almost debilitating. On their website they claim that those of age 13 and above are allowed into the restaurant from 7-10 pm. However, once we attempted to enter they asked for an id at around 7 pm before we entered. The staff were condescending and belittling. They should’ve enunciated that an id must be presented regardless. They are very chaotic and do not have clear rules and policies. Very unprofessional and disappointing to be quite frank. I have visited honeycomb multiple times, meaning multiple chances to redeem their attitude, food and drinks. Unfortunately, this was the last time I went solely because of the staff and the food. It is a pity that the place is one of the most beautiful one’s in Dubai but everything was disappointing. The food was shameful it came in minuscule portions for an absurd price. Don’t waste your time going there for the food it was a huge let down. The food almost tasted uncooked. Despite the fact that we ordered a huge portion and a variety of items on the menu nothing stood out. All quite bland and distasteful. Don’t waste your time going to a restaurant where customer service is not prioritised and distress is ensued. Not only that but the food and drinks were also another horror story. My experience was plainly stressful. I hope they act upon this review and do not provide another robotic response. I will never return...
Read moreExcellent music, an incredibly delicious variety of bites and a delectable array of drinks - Honeycomb HiFi brings the vibes, the bites, and the sounds to any night in the city.
We spent a melancholy 4 hours on a Sunday night eating, drinking, and nodding along to the immaculate vibes brought about by this semi-hidden delight.
The food was a smash hit on the table, with a wagyu trifecta winning the night. The wagyu rib eye packed a wallop of flavor with a salty umami that did not overstay its welcome. The wagyu rib cap from their limited release menu presented the rich subtle fat that wagyu is known for, melting in your mouth. But the winner was their short rib skewers - glazed in a subtly sweet yet not overpowering sauce alongside a crispy skin and fat exterior with delectable meat inside. An absolute flavor explosion in the mouth.
Alongside the above, the lamb gyoza and the spicy octopus salad were honorable mentions of the night. All the other dishes attached were seriously good but these were the most memorable.
The Dan Dan noodles could've been even spicier but they were good for the point in the night we had them at.
The drinks kept flowing and brought the vibes with them - from their hibiki highball carrying a strong whisky punch to their immaculate cocktails (my favorite was their yuzu cocktail), these did not disappoint nor did they overpower the mood.
The music was a vibey choice yet keeping with the lowkey ambience of a Sunday night.
Amazing spot in the city and can't...
Read morePlease run far away and never come here. All the unease of a dive with fifty times the price and none of the fun. I wish I could give this a zero. Sub-worthless. Try hard place and the staff are some of the nastiest people ever, rude, pushy constantly asking us to vacate even though we spent 1000s and after we leave our table nobody takes the table afterwards for hours. I gave this place 3 chances because the decor and music are good but was disgusted more each time. I love a small plates place but the portions are pitiful for the price (save your money and go to 3fils or electric pawnshop). Yesterday 7 men were guarding the door as we were walking in and before even saying hello one of them who looked like a 6’4 toddler 2014 OVO drake fanboy starts yelling that there’s a 120 aed cover charge which wasn’t listed anywhere online or on instagram, it felt like a shakedown. The music is good but no one dances. Its crowd is turning more and more into a blabla-esque slum with each visit but atleast blabla is fun. This place is so vibeless and nasty that it’s anti-vibes, it’s a black hole of vibes. I literally felt spiritually and mentally impoverished after the experience. I felt like I took 1000 points of psychic damage. I feel like the the restaurant angered a witch 20 years ago and she cursed it to never have success. Even though all the right elements are there the place...
