Jollibee Motor City — Restaurant in Dubai

Growing up we only had Wimpy for burgers and KFC for chicken. Every other fried chicken I tried tasted terrible compared to KFC. My travel routine was simple: when I wanted a safe meal, straight to KFC. One friend used to tease me constantly. Every time we passed a KFC he'd say "Colonel Sanders is calling for you” 😂

When I moved to Dubai I tried everything. Texas Chicken was a fail. Popeyes was meh. Al Baik was the biggest disaster ever. Local brands? Complete disasters. Then someone suggested Jollibee. Never heard of it before.

Found out it's from the Philippines and I hesitated even more. Me and Filipino food hadn't gotten along up to that point. Boy was I wrong. Magic happened with my first bite. The best fried chicken I've ever had by far. The secret is their gravy that comes with the 9-piece bucket for 49 AED. Gets a perfect 10/10 from me. Finger licking good doesn't even cover it.

Jollibee chicken is 100% less oily than KFC, way tastier, and cheaper. Who knew?

Their spaghetti shocked my brain at first. Sweet instead of savory threw me off completely. After having it a couple times though, I actually started liking it. Their coleslaw is tasty but also a bit sweet.

I'm not a fan of their Burger Steak or regular burgers. Don't understand the steamed rice either. Apple pie isn't my thing.

But the staff at Motor City branch? Amazing. Always smiling, super helpful, lightning fast. One time I ordered takeaway and the cashier said it would take 12 minutes to cook fresh. No problem, I'll take a walk. While strolling down the street, I see this lady with my order looking for me. She didn't want my chicken getting cold sitting at the counter waiting. Can you believe that level of service? She came outside to find me.

I know this might shock people but I'm convinced Jollibee has the best fried chicken in the...

Service is fast, well communicated upon waiting time if it will take longer. The cashier is good at upselling item /suggesting promotional meals. Nice n tidy dinning place.

Chicken flavor is there.... Not sure of the chicken parts...drunkstick n wing best option.

Rice..... When They opened, i could understand its a new jollybee im use to from other outlets. Its been six months and thier rice keeps getting worse. Its a pity it was take away. Usually when dinning they will changing to fries.

Ill try agan after 3 mnths. No ways no ones tates thats rice and think its okay to serve... It was raw, not the first time. Not sure if it the community of moto city who prefers undercooked rice.... even on better days its al-Dante they could still do better compare to other outlets. I ordered through the Careem app, with an initial delivery time estimate of 1 hour. However, after waiting an additional 30 minutes, I called to inquire about the delay and was told that the issue was from the branch, not the rider. When I contacted the branch, the manager explained that the delay was due to chicken stock and a busy day.

Additionally, I had specifically requested thighs and legs, but the order included wings and breast instead, which was disappointing.
