Disappointed with Unfair Treatment at SALT Motor City

I visited SALT Motor City on the last day of their special AED 10 burger offer. When I tried to order, the staff told me it was sold out, so we left for another restaurant. However, my kids still wanted a SALT burger, so I returned to order their meal. To my surprise, I saw other customers being served the same "sold-out" burger.

When I confronted the staff, the order taker gave an unreasonable excuse, saying the burgers were "held on request via phone call since the morning." This seems highly unfair for a limited-time deal. When I asked for the manager, the floor manager provided a completely different explanation, contradicting the first excuse. Later, the restaurant manager arrived and gave yet another, totally different reason. None of these explanations were backed by any proof, which led me to believe they were not being truthful.

If the burger was truly sold out, how were others still getting it? And why was I offered the same burger after raising a complaint? This raises serious concerns about favoritism—were these burgers reserved for friends or family of the staff? Such practices damage customer trust and should not be happening in Dubai, especially at a well-known restaurant like SALT.

I urge the management to investigate this issue. Transparency and fairness should be a priority for all customers, not just a select few. This experience was disappointing, and I hope no other customer faces such treatment...

Such a lovely and nice experience for the taste of the sliders are exquisite and the sandwiches despite their small sizes are fulfilling. I loved the truffle more than the jalapeños as it was so spicy (for spicy lovers you will be loving it). For the truffle fries, it met my expectations and beyond. The staff are so welcoming, friendly, smiling all the time and helpful specially the guy at the cashier who explained to us the sizes and what we will be expecting. We’re so happy that SALT has opened in Motor City! We love their burgers, fries, and ice cream, and it’s become a favorite spot for us to visit with the kids. This branch is perfect for families—it’s super kid-friendly, and our kids always have a great time with activities like coloring and getting balloons.
