Le Petit Cafe — Restaurant in Dubai

Nice view, quick service. Unfortunately that's where the good feedback ends. The menu had multiple ingredients and items striked through due to removal from the menu. We ordered from the available items; one turkey and ham sandwich and one grilled chicken sandwich, one iced latte and one iced latte with hazelnut syrup. Soon, the wait staff informed us that the turkey sandwich was not available so we changed it to two grilled chicken sandwiches. Also, none of the four syrups listed in the menu were available so we had two iced lattes, which were very bitter and had to be sweetened. We asked if the sandwiches come with chips and we were told that they don't so we ordered a separate portion.

When the two sandwiches arrived, after we had finished our portion of chips, the sandwiches did in fact come with chips. Additionally, the sandwiches were not with bread but with croissants. Also, the content of the sandwiches were completely different to what the menu said. There were no mushrooms or cheesy potato, instead it was a few slices of tomato, lettuce, cucumber, and dry chicken. It seems to be a lottery system as to what you get, which is quite worrying for those who have food allergies (which we were not asked about). The cutlery also had not been properly cleaned so I had to wipe that down. I rarely write reviews but the staff are extremely unfriendly and rude. We were added to the waiting list, we were given a table but preferred to wait longer for one by the water. The host told us we can only have this table. When a table by the water emptied up few minutes later, he gave it to someone else who was after us on the list. We left, thankfully because we saw later that the reviews complained about hygiene issues and getting sick from their food. Needless to say, we will never set foot here again. Do yourselves a favor and go to the cafe next door, much more friendlier staff, with quieter and nicer setting. (The reply to this review is not honest. We were promised a table by the water once it became available, and once available they gave it to someone else and told us to wait longer. Many people are complaining about the rudeness of the staff. Went there for lunch today, ordered a bunch of items to finally try this place after all the hype & the long waiting lines.

We ordered the below:

Corn Salad (8/10) super rich the sauce is amazing & very good portion Goat Cheese Salad (8/10) loved the combination of ingredients, the goat cheese they used was amazing Eggplant Rolls (10/10) a highlight for this place, grilled eggplant with a mix of cheese & red sauce Fish & Chips Platter (8.5/10) loved it, only downside was the tartar, i mean it was good but not the best ive tried LPC Salmon Platter (8.5/10) great platter & great value for money. The mango salad is extremely fresh & goes super well with the salmon.

Overall such a nice place to come to, prices are extremely reasonable (we paid 105 aed per person for 3) & the atmosphere is amazing with an outdoor setting right next to the waters.

Totally worth the hype,...
